Morning all red's hope your all keeping well? Now after the doom and gloom since Saturday some positive news. How do feel about that Ed001?

{Ed001's Note - it certainly increases the options and I see him as a step forward from Wijnaldum and Can, so all good.}

What did Klopp see in Wijnaldum Ed?

{Ed001's Note - technique, strength, skill.}

Ed01, who are you referring to as a step forward from Wiji and Can.

{Ed001's Note - Fabinho.}

Almost feels we have to many options now ed with him kieta and possibly Fekir arriving. Obviously Can leaving and possibly Lallana. can't see Woodburn, Gini or even Milner getting much game time either can you🤔?

{Ed001's Note - there were plenty of games we needed to rest a few but couldn't. Now we can.}

Kloppsreds17, there were games that we looked out of steam, the WBA, Stoke and Chelsea games being prime examples. Having some strength in depth players can get a rest and recharge their batteries.

Exactly Ed you could see that the game's were coming thick and fast for some players but we didn't have better options so couldn't rest them. Anyway Ed thanks for your replies.

{Ed001's Note - welcome BiL.}

Ed when you say klopp seen technique strength an skill in Gini, does he still believe he possess them qualities or u think klopp see's him as surplus too requirements, let's not forget Gini was playing attacking roles for Newcastle when we bought him, this guy has been very versatile for us even playing in defence, should we be so quick too get rid of someone who has been so professional an good for the club.

{Ed001's Note - I expect him to stay.}

Unbelievable am reading people saying we have to many options after signing Fabinho. Seriously! It only took a couple of injuries and our bench looked so weak and inexperienced. Look at our rivals benches full of quality to change games and rotate players. We need to get out of the obsession of our first 11 as how many times this season did were we able to start with our 1st 11? And you expect them. to play over 50 games season. Look at Saturday Real had a £85m sub to use who changed the game. They also had Assensio, kovacic on the bench to use. Anyway delighted with the Fabinho transfer and great to see he and his wife look absolutely delighted with the move.

I think it will be any 3 from 6 of Fabinho, Henderson, Keita, Oxlade- Chamberlain, Wijnaldum and Fekir (or whoever we get) . Wijnaldum will look better with better quality players around him and has the right mentality in that he knows it is a squad game and players will not play every time. He is very underrated and has been asked to play different roles to what he is used to but retains possession well.

Klopp knows that pressing midfielders who can only do it for a portion of the game will not win titles. You need controlled possession and creativity and that is what he is aiming for. If Woodburn pushes in he may challenge for a spot with the six I’ve mentioned. It is up to him to step up. Milner has been fantastic but I think top level teams show his limitations. If he is willing to stick around as cover for many positions I am happy with that.

Two days ago we were all down but football moves on. We lost a game to a great team after losing our best player and having no luck other than bad luck and that’s no disgrace. We are improving areas that can be improved and go again. A versatile forward who can play across the front 3 to cover and enable rest for our 3 magicians is next, hopefully.

I don't know how people can say that Coco because even Stevie Wonder can see that we have a thin squad.

Would anyone else agree that there is something in wijis head that need to click and he could become a big player. For me he has all the attributes but whether it's confidence or concentration or what but I always feel he has the potential to be a key player if his consistency rose.
I certainly would not get rid of him at the very least he is an incredibly talented squad player.

Gini is a good player. I didn’t want him to sign as I thought the money at the time was probably better spent on defence, same with ox. Both have been reasonable signings in my opinion although both can go missing in some games. Happy to have them fighting for a place next season.

Gini is a great player, the games he does turn up he is like a madman all over the pitch driving forward or winning the ball. it’s just a shame he is so inconsistent and for a lot of games invisible. he’s been getting better lately though so hopefully he keeps getting more consistent.
