Disappointing to hear Kane chosen as captain over Henderson for the English team. Then again perhaps Henderson was chosen and Kane just claimed it. There were far better options.

Not a fan of Kane at all. He showed that he's not a team player by claiming Erikson's goal, and when watching his post match interview after the last game of the season he said something along the lines of "I would have liked to have scored 4 or 5 to get the golden boot but at least we won. " For me that answer should be the other way around and the team winning should be of primary importance. The order a player ranks their individual performance and the team's result tells you a lot about them. As an example, I was in school with a lad playing for the Swansea u23s and he always ranks his performance above the team and makes similar comments to Kane.

Henderson deserves captaincy considering that he had it through qualifying I believe and has just led Liverpool to a champions league final. Oh and not to mention he puts the team first.

Not that I care about who's England captain being a Welshman myself😁.

He's only given it to him because he will play every match and Henderson won't. It only means anything for pomp and ceremony anyway. Hendo will still be talking and organising in the middle.

vardy should be our first team striker as he serves the team, works hard, has speed and can finish like kane. kane needs everything done for him. if the team plays bad then kane will have no effect on the game. I hope im wrong though, i want england to do well.

Kind of glad he got captaincy to be honest. Means he's going to get all the flack when England get knocked out at the group stage (wink wink) .

I bet you he'll be back on corner-kick duty at the WC again like he did at the Euros. Now that was laughable.
