Hopefully macca gets his prediction 100% right. I'm sure a million things can happen to make a deal fall through. l and if he is wrong so what.

I remember the William to chelase deal.

Poor old Ian arye was busy booking his aerofloat ticket To Russia.

Then we got news spurs had high jacked the deal and we had wasted good money on the plane ticket.

Finally news came in that Chelsea had the player that spurs too. had wasted too.

My point being that the people that make these deals can't give us a definite answer until it's completed.

Any criticism the eds and macca have had is disrespectfull and has really spoiled it for everyone else.

I shall use this site and this site only for transfer news.

Reflecting on last summer’s transfers, we had an almost perfect window, every single signing has made a positive impact and the deals that we didn’t get over the line to sign at a later date are top class too. Whereas I wasn’t confident in Ayers, I am confident in Michael Edwards as he has got some really good deals sorted, like Salah, van Dijk and Keita (which I think will look like daylight robbery next season) .

Was it not the owners that made the vvd deal? I could be wrong but I am sure edd2 said they personally went and met the Southampton owners to get the deal done.
If this is wrong I apologise for the mistake.

Walter, you're right. I don't remember the exact words but it was something like " FSG intervened and asked for a price for VVD, Southampton gave a price, and FSG paid it". Something along those lines.

Mr Shankly you are correct last summers window was almost perfect, which makes your criticism of this summers targets slightly puzzling, you should have a little more faith.
