Hello guys, hope everyone’s well. Now this is purely hypothetical at the moment but I thought it would make for a good discussion. Could it be the case that Harry Wilson is an example in a bit of change of system in terms of how me manage youth team players? He made his Wales debut at 16 or whatever it was and it could have been easy for the club to try and fast track him to the first team, but instead we could have possibly tried to manage him, such as letting him stay in the unders when he was banging goals and then making him prove himself on loan before getting the potential opportunity to try in the first team.

Not sure if I’ve explained that well but I thought I’d ask anyway, cheers guys.

I think the Ed’s have mentioned before that in the old days, players would spend years in the reserves, sometimes until their mid 20’s, until they were ready. In Spain they have no problem waiting that length of time for a player develop. I hope Wilson gets his chance, but it is up to Klopp. We don’t see him in training every day.

I'd love it if we could keep ownership of our some of our academy players and send them away on long term loan deals into their early 20s.
