Brilliant ed, really enjoyed reading that. The Wayne 'likes them old Rooney one had me in stitches! If only there were more excuses for these awards articles. Champions League awards maybe?
Who was the worst player all season? I'm guessing you think it's Renato Sanches based on your write up on him.

{Ed001's Note - did I miss out the worst overall player award? Damn. I know as soon as I posted it I forgot to put the worst team of the season on there, so maybe I will do another one for that next week after the season ends.}

{Ed001's Note - I have kept copies of them both with the intention of doing so and to act as a blueprint for a World Cup version as well. Not sure I will use either as a template, but it at least gives me a guide to ensure I don't repeat gags.}

Good job, Ed. Shame about Sanches, he was actually one of the players of the tournament when Portugal won the Euros and instrumental in them doing so. Mentality is oh so important, it seems.

Very true, Ed, but there is definitely a player in there somewhere. He has been awful, truly. He just moved too young, for too much, to the wrong place and his head was not built for the sudden change. I recon he'll end up back in Portugal at Benfica, Sporting or somewhere and look like a world beater again before too long.

I'm also convinced, by the way, that we will see sections of these awards rewritten and replicated, in some guise, on certain clickbait sites this week. I have often seen something written on this site then lo and behold, the shiny star or midnight express have 'written' an article a couple of days later entitled 'you'll never guess what these people said about. '. Very entertaining anyway mate, cheers.

I'm pretty sure satisfaction is far from their remit. You've got blue pills and London mums getting rid of wrinkles, imagine how many they're trying to flog on their site. I'm not sure they'll link it either, be nice if they did, but its more of a borrowing of ideas i think. I can just imagine a 'Who has the worst barnet' type article is all. there's not a lot to say to that, I'm sure. It's just something I've noticed.

Looking forward to the World Cup one mate. I am going to make a prediction I think the worst team will be England! hahaha I just can't stand watching them and refuse to, I like the world cup but only watch the likes of Spain, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Portugal and France etc I just can't sit and watch England they bore me half to death!

Thanks Ed, extremely long time since I last posted, but I needed to as that was fully deserving. I think a Wheres Waldo award for missing in action could have been added. I had the lesser spotted Berahinio winning that ahead of Jese, Affellay.

The nominations for playing like a pub footballer who has sneaked onto the pitch go to:

1. Stoke City's Charlie 'tug boat' Adam for looking like a pub footballer and showing all the tackling ability of a pub footballer, always arriving ten minutes after needed like a postman. Even his famed £10m set pieces have disappeared.

2. Chelsea's Tiemoue 'did we sign the wrong identical twin' Bakayoko for appearing to lose all the footballing talent he had displayed last season.

3. Arsenal's Granit 'how on earth did he cost so much' Xhaka for being a defensive midfielder with no ability to defend and little obvious ability

This is world class and the best of the lot! 😂😂😂😂.
