I watched the game off a Dutch stream and they did a highlight of Wijnaldum at half time. Some awesome box-to-box runs, covering back, off the ball.
Does it go unseen by us?
He seems to get a bit of stick but, for me, he's one of those players that can come in and allow the team to continue at a similar level.
Look at Hendo's injury at he back end of last season, and stepping in both legs of this semi to cover for injuries / replacements.
He's an invaluable squad / first team member and it would be crazy to get rid.

Perfect for Klopp's high intensity game, and a better all-round option than Can for sure.
I wish we had another Wijnaldum on the bench!

Great review eds. you read my mind on all points. I was talking to my son on Monday about how he needs to look around all the time when he’s playing for he’s team. And then last night I lost my voice shouting in the pub at Trent for not looking. At least it’s something that can be easy fixed (if klopp has noticed) .
I was a bit disappointed with Henderson if am honest. The night seemed to get the better of him. He will have to step up for the final if we are going to win.

Great read Ed, Got to agree specifically on the 3 at the back. I think we have conceded 4 goals out of 6 with 3 at the back, and given we've only had that system for, say, 30 mins ion total out of 180 mins, that's a pretty damning stat.

If you chalk up Milners OG as as freak, then 4/ 5 goals have happened in just 1/ 6 of the total game time when we have changed system.

Good read still disagree with Robertson and van d part but its always good to see the contrast of opinions very well written.
