watching Liverpool play should come with a health warning, watching last nights game put 10yrs on me! my question to my fellow reds is this, do we just accept that's the way its going to be under klopp or do we want to become more boring and stress free? to sum up this crazy semi-final we were 5-o up for the 1st 80 minutes yet lost 6-2 in the next 100 minutes, god only knows what the final will bring, as I said last night I hope its 3rd time lucky for jurgen klopp, finally may I pass on my best wishes to sean cox and his family, get better soon. I can't believe all the negative posts!
We played well first half, 2-1 up and it was essentially job 75% done.
Second half drop off was game management and totally understandable.
Their two late goals put a different slant on the picture, for me.
That was comfortable for most of the match.

You watch any of Liverpool's old European Cup aways and much of the time we'd bore the other side to death - play the Continentals at their own game.
Game management is what the European Cup has always been about, and the tie was wrapped up at Anfield.

In my years supporting Liverpool we have never made it easy on ourselves. Just don't think it's our way lol.

it was not that bad, but yea they got a couple in the last 6-7 minutes or so.
we had them at 2-2 till what 85 minutes i think and pretty much under control. and then we let radja run. Thing was nobody wanted to risk a tackle at that point and he did hit that one good. then a bad decision with the penalty to add to drama.
If you watched the game i think we were pretty comfortable in the first half and dealt with almost everything they threw at us after they equalised but for the last 6-7 minutes.
But yea it did end with drama.
Lucky for us though that refree missed a couple of penalties.

I don't know what all the panic was about lads the tie was never in doubt once we got the second. they score 2 late goals which were irrevlant. The ref was always going to blow it up after the pen. the scoreline looks worse than it was. We need to get lads rested now. Hope we get a point against chelsea and be fresh for Kiev. What a time to be a supporter long gone are the dark days which were not so long ago under Roy when we had David Ngog leading the line with spearing anchoring the middle and Paul Konchesky doing whatever je was suppose to be doing.

The Juicer. Interesting you mentioned this. They were before my time but recently I got hold of a few full match videos of our European Cup matches and finals in the Paisley and Fagan days. Honestly speaking, they were largely a bore! On many occasions I was so tempted to fast forward but thought perhaps I might miss the good bits but it never came. There was no sexy football so to speak but just very functional performances of scoring what we needed, killing of the game and making it so unplayable; literally taking the sting out of the game, then going on to win and lift the Cup at the end of the game. And I was still thinking I will see flicks, tricks, mazy runs, fast paced counter attacking, countless last ditched tackles, etc.

I agree with you JUICER and when you think over the 2 legs roma were given 2 penalties witch they wernt and an own goal and don't forget roma hadn't conceeded a home goal till we turned up fully deserved result over the 2 legs. and having watched b. munich against Madrid I think our front 3 will cause them quite a few problems.

The ref missed a couple of possible penalty shouts for roma, sure but roma also had 2 penalties given which were both ball to hand. Also mane could've had a penalty early on.

Everyone will tell you that to be successful in cup competitions you need a bit of luck, we have had some yes but also the best team won in every game we have played in this ucl. I can understand some negativity. We lost. But jeez it was a win really and we are in the ucl final. Now is not the time for negativity. Except Walter of course. Love ya mate.

im not being negative lads, walter has that covered, just sharing my thoughts and observations, happy to be in the final and even happier to be underdogs, roll on the final after we finish strongly in the league.

It is great watching Liverpool play but i fear they will need to tighten up at the back if we are ever to win the league. Great going forward, still work to be done at the back, in my opinion.

100% agree I love the sexy attacking, would love the defence to be nice and boring, ie drama free, then we will have the basis to go on and achieve our long term goals.

This is the Klopp way, expect goals at both ends.
It’s like watching NBA 😄

It’s entertaining for sure. Last night was nothing like 2005, THAT was nerve-wracking 😬.

Could the coaching staff be taking advice on how to play from Lebron James? ;-)

It doesn't matter how much you win by, the fact is we are in the final and they are not.
