Great MK, cheers mate. I'm going to predict a close 2-3. I can't wait for tonight, I am just loving these big games.

Hey Adam very nice preview. You just dissected everything almost to perfection. Loved that "Roma has not conceeded away in Europe vs Lfc has scored at least a goal away in Europe"
On another note if i am not mistaken perotti may not be available for the clash due to injury and that guy was the game changer for Roma at anfield. He kind of changed the balance of the game and his absence could be pivitol today.

Cheers lads.

You are correct African Red. From what I can find, Perotti is a major doubt. If fit to play, he would start i reckon. Looks doubtful he'll be fit though.

If Strootman is also out (which is looking more likely since I wrote this) they'll probably use Gonalons or maybe Pellegrini.

As Expected top article from Adam
just a question mate do you reckon roma might trick us and go four four four two with two out and out wingers and two big men upfront shick and dzeko?

7.) 02 May 2018
02 May 2018 09:38:01
going with a back 3 with us was a mistake, sticking with it for as long as they did was an even a bigger mistake.

not able to watch the game tonight so im hoping to wake up to good news!

hoping for a comfortable win in rome.

John, no I Don't think so mate. Though I suppose it is not unfeasible.

When backed into a corner, managers tend to revert to their comfort zone. Di Francesco much prefers a 4-3-3. The 3-5-2 experiment was fun whilst it lasted but as Kaizer said, it was a huge error in judgenent against us.

You have to have wide centre backs who are very comfortable in the full back areas such as Azpilicueta at Chelsea or Monreal at Arsenal.

I do expect a 4-3-3 but who knows. They switched it up when 4-1 down to Barcelona last round. Whatever the formation, I still reckon they'll go for it in the second half and leave themselves exposed. Mane will be well up for this tonight as well. He missed some sitters in the first leg and had a reat against Stoke, so I'm backing him to score.

Thanks Adam. That injury list just looks awful.

Great read Adam. Now back to them transfer target write ups you used to do in the summer.

I have a feeling we will have the tie tied up before half time with us 2-0 at half time. Fingers crossed.

Nice one MK, exciting times.

Tad worrying Hjikle, but it looks worse than it is to be fair. Mane and Arnold should be available (touch wood), and aside from Ox, would any one else on the list start in our best XI?

Not just yet MarcO. I'm hoping I still have one more Champions League preview to do 😉

Cheers lads!

Pellegrini? I thought he's in China 😋.

MK cheers for reply
Im expecting Roma to play Schick and Dzeko in some format coz after they came on Roma looked much much better.

Adam I don’t always agree 100% with what you say but credit to your knowledge and effort put in to what you write. That’s the good thing about football and pages like this we don’t all agree 100% of the time but I love reading other peoples views etc, keep up the good work fella.

16.) 02 May 2018
02 May 2018 13:04:07
Might not start in the XI but knowing that our XI had options would be lovely - if Hendo pulls up in the third minute I don't even know what we would do anymore!

Nice preview that MK. Officially nervous as F now. Still 6 hours until KO. Vamos LFC!

02 May 2018 13:39:18
I see what you did there Haizan 😉

No worries John. Schick can play across the front 3 but I agree with you that He'll play. He gave us trouble when he came on. I couldn't believe he didn't start the game.

Thank you Cesar. Appreciate that mate. The beauty of football is the opinions!

Hjikle, that is a good point mate. We may have to turn to Woodburn, Jones or Kane in that hypothetical situation!

Snap out of it lad! We're 5-2 up 😉 we just have to trust Klopp and the boys to take the game as seriously as they should be!

21.) 02 May 2018
02 May 2018 14:32:32
well done MK, great stuff, if we need someone to come on for midfield, then Woodburn seems the best option,
I really think that we will score, and Salah is due a goal .

Great read, MK. I love the way you put Roma's stats and victories at home in the CL, into context. Klopp tho based on his presser, is no mug. Already after the first leg, he said that any of his players who even thinks that the tie is over, would not play. He also said last night that he has all the warnings he needs to be very careful about Roma. Barcelona did not have said warning and they played like it. I saw the game and they were utterly dreadful. Also, acting like the game is 0-0 now, is a very good mind-set to have as it stops you from being complacent, keeps you prepared and let's you know that it ain't over till it's ALL over.

Make no mistake about it, Roma can still put 3 or more past us cos it's football. However if we play the way we know how, stay concentrated and not gift them anything for as long as possible, then we will do them. The longer the game is 0-0, the better for us. Up Da Pool!

23.) 02 May 2018
02 May 2018 16:05:43
Nice write-up MK. Actually been on the lookout for it since yesterday. I was shocked last week that Di Francesco went with 3 at the back. It was like he hadn't seen us play this year. I'm sure he'll correct that to a back 4 and limit us - for a while.
However - and maybe I'm the only one feeling this way - I don't see us losing. Not with an injury, not with a man down, not with anything.
Maybe it's overconfidence, but I believe we're going to Kiev.

24.) 02 May 2018
02 May 2018 16:30:46
Cheers Brover. Would you take a 0-0 at full time? I would 😂

I had a feeling Di Francesco go for a back 3 realtofel. I predicted the personnel down to all but one of the strikers. But I also suspected it would backfire. I thought Alisson would've bailed them out a bit more than he did though. He was horrendous in the first leg, which is very uncharacteristic for him. Likewise, I agree with you that they'll switch to a back 4 for tonight, and I also think we'll be going to Kiev!

25.) 02 May 2018
02 May 2018 18:10:15
Good read mate - I think so long as we go toe to toe in midfield and press high enough we’ll be Ok as we should win enough turnovers to counterattack and score. If we sit back however and, drag Salah and Mane too deep and can’t get out of our half then could be a long long game.

Whatever happens please please just don’t let them needing 1 goal in the last 10mins, that’s not exactly our position of strength.

26.) 02 May 2018
02 May 2018 18:17:15
MK, sign me up for a 0-0 anytime.

No chance of a 0-0, Klopp wants goals goals goals😄

More chance of a 4-4 👍.

Very interesting article!

Is it really VVD who has to cover for Lovren? I think in Liverpools system it is the full backs who should cover for the centre backs. And not the centre backs for each other.

I remember that after the first leg Jurgen Klopp said that TAA is partially responsible for Roma's first goal, because he didn't cover for Lovren when he missed that header.

He also said that TAA is still young and is allowed to make mistakes like that.
