IF we get past Roma then the final is going to infuriate me, it’s just going to be full of Ramos throwing himself to the floor and showing the horrible side of football. I would love for us to teach them a lesson on the biggest stage of them all but Reals experience cannot be discounted. And Zidane record of not being knocked out of the CL is mighty impressive.

Let’s hope we get past Roma tomorrow and then we Can dream of wiping the smirks of reals face!

{Ed0333's Note - I think we’ll beat Real if we get to Kiev. Marcelo won’t even be in the same postcode as Salah which gives me hope and don’t forget they have Navas in goal, granted he made one great save tonite but he always has a mistake in him. Klopp is tactically far superior to Zidane and although they have big name players how good are they as a team? They are weak defensively, I think Van Dijk and Lovren are comparable to Varane and Ramos if not a little better. I think we can exploit them if we can get past Roma and if we don’t lose anymore players in midfield through injury.

Very well said there Ed333 completely agree mate. Navas makes as many mistakes as Migs did, Salah, Firmino and Mane firing shots at him? he won't know what's hit him. They haven't faced our attack yet and when they do they'll crumble.

{Ed0333's Note - we gotta get over the hurdle that is Roma first mate. One thing I’ve learnt from supporting Liverpool for 38 years is don’t count your chickens before they’re hatched. Liverpool FC don’t do things the easy way.

Spot on, Ed. I would take Lovs and VVD over both of theirs any day. Zidane gets all the credit BUT really, is he a good tactician? I don't think so. Real on the whole, have been dreadful this season esp. if you watch them in la Liga (abject stuff) and in the group stages of the CL where they were appalling. Yes, they have big name players BUT that does not remove from the fact that as a team, good heavens.

Their defence and midfield are only good when they have the ball. When they don't, they are like a sieve. Not tracking back, no work off the ball and the defence is a shambles. Should we make it, I doubt Marcelo will be able to keep Salah quiet and if Vasquez plays RB like he did tonight, then Mane will have a field day. Having said all that. let's finish the job vs Roma first and then we can discuss.

{Ed0333's Note - what a sexy final for the romantics hey? Liverpool and Real both powerhouses of European football with proper history and status. I vividly remember the ‘81 cup final when we beat them 1-0. It was absolutely lashing down in west London and I was staying at my Nans house. My uncle who still lived with my Nan at the time was a TV engineer and he had a color TV and I was watching it in his room. All I can remember of that fateful night was Kennedy’s goal and my uncle taking me for a drive at half time and deliberately driving through the biggest puddle in the world and drenching this poor woman. Honestly the weather was that bad I remeber the rain more than the game. They owe us some revenge but they’ve won two in a row and they can’t be greedy. But the caveat is the Roma game.

Yeah you're right mate. Don't get me wrong I am so confident we'll go through but it'll be one hell of a nerve racking game because there's always that 'what if' thought. I just hope we get an early goal or two, it'll be good for my ticker if that's the case.

Never a truer word spoken ed0333. Liverpool are at their best when no one expects anything from them. When they are favourites that’s when the problems start. I’m nervous about tomorrow, I think we’ll get through but we’re in for a nervy game I think.

Agreed. Massive game to get through first tonight but as long as we do (and as long as the red doesn’t play 12th man for Real) someone has got to undo the voodoo that is Real in the CL and why not us!

If we don’t go through tonight, and Roma can overturn this deficit, I think they will do Real too!

Real will be different in the final for certain. Carvahal will be back so he’ll be at right back, and I think some others are due back by then such as Isco.

Only thing I worry about is Ronaldo.
He’s the closest thing to Maradonna in so far as he could win the game on his own if he’s on song.
