Ok so i've clearly missed a something, have we no longer got Ed002 contributing to the site and what's kicked it all off?

The news about Rangers wanting Gerrard, Ed002 gave his opinion on Gerrard, some didn’t like it and reacted badly.
I missed the majority of it but saw the first few replies.

Some people can’t see past Gerrard the player the captain the legend. Gerrard the person is a different story. I’ve met the man and he was an absolute cock. Ed02 has been abused for saying as much and Gerrard the manager who knows. I think Ed02s point was it’d be a big risk by Rangers to appoint a man with zero experience at senior level. Ill admit the way Ed02 put it was aggressive but personally I found it funny. Unfortunately some took it personally and want him/ her strung up. Sometimes I find Ed’s view point on all things LFC hard to swallow but it’s just an opinion stop taking it so personally.

I didn't see all that much Ron tbh.

I only saw one reply from ed002.

I can understand people saying it was a bit of a harsh reply, i did think at face value it was pretty brutal, but I think what everyone needs to grasp is how many slanderous, abhorrent posts we as general readers fail to see, or even weigh into the equation. We, for the most part, assume that what we see is all that has been posted, but without doubt so many stinking, abusive posts/ replies have been censored/ deleted/ edited before even contemplating putting them up for the rest of us to read.

The guy does this just for a hobby, or maybe because he feels we as fans have a right to accurate information. He certainly doesn't do this for any kind of financial benefit.

Theres no doubt that ed002 is a no bullsh*t kind of guy, but his information is absolutely invaluable to this site and if any one of us were to have to do his job, i'm pretty sure all of us would have bad days etc.

{Ed0333's Note - like you said mate Ed’s 002 is like everyone else on the planet he has good days and bad ones. I know when I’m editing and I’m not so chipper the moronic posts get exacerbated and they can get pretty annoying. I’m pretty fortunate compared to the abuse Ed’s 002 gets. Let me recap what other Ed’s and posters have said. Ed’s 002 is probably the best and most accurate football source on social media/internet, and he’s free. He has regularly called transfers weeks before anyone else and has done this time and time again over the years. Why would you be stupid enough to jeopardize this priceless resource? You are looking a gift horse in the mouth! I remember I was in Ibiza a years ago and Eds 002 was telling us for a few days that Brenda was gonna be fired after the Everton game, before anyone else. I was relaying this to my friends who were just laughing at me and the football rumours website because they just thought it was all hearsay and conjecture. So were at a club called DC10 dancing away and I get a text from my brother in law saying Rogers has been sacked, I showed this text to my friends and I had the last laugh, what a great feeling that was dancing the night away knowing Brendan Rogers was history. My point is we have a massive advantage over other resources on the internet and you won’t know what you got till it’s gone. You may feel I’m being a drama queen but when you have to get your transfer rumours from the Daily Fail, Cretin-Talk, Twitter and Talkshite you’ll appreciate Eds002.

I totally agree with Scootinio.
“Stop taking it so personally”.
Gerrard was a fantastic player for us but for the majority of us that is all we know.
He could be a great guy, he could be a horrible guy. Some people like him, some people will hate him. That’s the way of the world and is true for most people.
Ed002 has an opinion and it is usually more informed than the rest of us. I don’t care whether he wants Gerrards babies or whether he wants him exiled to Antarctica. I will always appreciate Gerrard’s football contributions and I will keep an open mind about him as a person until I can judge for myself.

Yea, fair play ed. I too have been a source of info to my mates directly relaying from ed002's knowledge and I look like mystic meg to them. I tell them all about you guys but they still keep buying the same old rubbish off the shelves. I hope he can forgive the nonsense (mine included) and keep doing what he's been doing so well.

On a side, I do enjoy the way you can sum up a moment, 0333. A rousing speech or an echoed sentiment, it always makes me smile.
