In the West Brom game I think we have to rest all our main players. West Brom are just about the worst team we could play, they will 100% up for it and put a real shift in. I would much rather play Arsenal for example.

VVD, Salah, Firmino, Mane, Trent IMO all of these have to be rested.

We can't afford to rest them all Mark. I keep saying it, top4 is far from done. Chelsea can easily catch us.

Do you want us to lose this game mark? sorry mate but the logic behind your post is daft, so who fills in for TAA's spot then, Clyne? Recipe for disaster and VVD? with the injuries we have in the defence at the moment, resting them is near to impossible.

Plus we want to score goals, we need Salah, Mane and Firmino on or atleast 2 of them. Just because West Brom are the bottom of the league doesn't necessarily mean we will steam roll them, we SHOULD but it doesn't always work like that. Every game right now is important to us, we need the 3 points, we can't go risking things at this stage.

Can't see Klopp resting too many. Can't start worrying about possible injuries. They train every day, could get injured at any stage. could strain a muscle getting out of bed.
Fatigue and injuries players already have are the only reason they will be left out until we've top 4 secure. Players look fine atm. It's the lack of days in between to prepare for games is the main problem.

I'm assuming that no-one watched the united - west brom game? They didn't win because they were so up for it or because they are a revitalised squad playing for their futures. They won because United were about as bad as I've seen a top 6 team play. And it was still only 1-0. If we turn up properly, we can have this won in the first half, give everyone who needs it a chance to stay sharp then rest them for some kids. West Brom are pants, have been all season and continue to be.

I think we will rest players.
We have the chance of getting to the champions league final.
The best we can hope for in the league is 2nd. The worst we can achieve is 5th but that is so unlikely that 1 game will not decide it. Let’s see how Burnley do on Wednesday.

Rest them for WBA, smash Roma at Anfield then play a full strength at Stoke if needed.

We do have to play Roma twice. So do we rest players before both legs possibly dropping points, then have to play Chelsea. Who although we are much better could still be at us on withe a good performance. Could leave us with one game to see where we are.

I will happily take a point or even getting beat v West Brom and then getting a good victory over Roma. We will only need 3 points to beat Chelsea.

I will take a place in the final and needing 3 points v Brighton. Can you imagine what everyone will say if Salah or VVD got injured agains't West Brom.

We have a weeks rest before the WBA game, we then play Roma Tuesday, Stoke Saturday and Roma again Wednesday. It makes sense to play our strongest team against WBA get points in the bag and then rest players for the Stoke game.

Of course thursday night could make this all academic - if Chelsea lose to Burnley (which isn't exactly out of the question), we would be one win (or 3 draws) out of 4 games to be mathematically out of sight. Or just a draw against them would do it unless they could catch up 19 goals in 3 games. let's see what happens then before considering the next game.

I think Lovren, Henderson and Bobby will be rested with plans to sub off others when we are winning.

He won't drop Salah with him being so close to breaking the prem record, he will hope salah breaks it this weekend giving him an extra boost before the Roma clash.

We might also see Gomez come in for trent if he is fit enough.

I think Ron is right here. If Chelsea don't beat Burnley then it's a wrap for top 4, pretty much cos we will be 10 points ahead of them (zay we draw vs WBA) and with a win vs WBA, done and dusted. If any of these scenarios ha happen, Klopp may decide to rest or not start some players BUT bring them on just to keep them sharp. We shall see.

I think Mark was pointing out what a tough tie west brom is with the situation we find ourselves in (ucl semi finalists)

The reason west brom have to fight so hard is coz they have been useless this season. I don't expect any problems but I think a few will be rested.

Klopp hassn't often rested players this season, unless he has had to or there is an extreme fixture build up (festive period) . All the games are as important as each other until they are not i.e we've already qualified.
