the answer is no, also it don't matter how many "world class" players you buy if your tatics are all wrong, look at sanchez for example at this rate he will make falcoa look like a bargain.

The difference is that Fergie made those young players great, Jose cannot do that. He buys success and let's be honest it works for him.

If you can't coach your way put of a paper bag, it won't matter what players you have. People talk about City having world class players BUT forget to mention the good work Pep is doing with them on the training ground. Look at KDB, Sterling, Silva and esp. Sane? Those players were very good when Klopp got them. Look at what they are doing now. Even at that level, Pep is improving them cos what they are doing now, was not what they are doing now. Same with Poch and our Klopp with the players they are improving right before our eyes like Mane, Salah, Bobbie, Karius, Can, VVD, Lallana and the list goes on.

Mou is and will never be interested in improving players anymore since his first Chelsea days where he did good work with Lampard, DD, Cole, the other Cole (Joe) and Terry. He is now a FIULL checkbook manager who blames everyone else for his own failures.

How is Can improving? What is he doing now that he wasn't doing 2 years ago?

Only one player has improved from when Klopp arrived - Firmino. All the other improvers in the squad have been bought in. From last season's first 11 and the most used subs who has improved or had a better season? Only Firmino. All our other best performing players this season have been bought in Robertson, Salah.

Mark i'd also argue that lallana improved upon klopps arrival. A lot of us fans were ready for him to move on before last season but then under Klopp he was much closer to the player we thought he could be and finally learnt how to not dilly dally on the ball. But it feels like the first 11 has moved on from him this season.
Cheers.

This season's first 11 is of course better but who is having a better season.

Lallana was clearly better last season
Clyne
Gini
Mingolet
Matip
Mane
Lovren
Origi
Courtinho
Can
Henderson
none of them are having a better season

I think by the start of next season 10 of the starting 11 will be players bought in by Klopp.

Lallana has improved,
Henderson has improved massively during klopp reign.
The Ox, salah and Robertson have all improved since joining the club. It didn't happen overnight and it didn't happen last year but all three are being highly praised lately and being called "among the best in their positions in the league"
Karius has improved,
Klavan has improved massively.
Firmino has improved massively.
Taa and gomez have improved dramatically.

Basically klopp has shown he is a top notch coach. To say he doesn't improve team is crazy.

As a squad we have improved, last season fighting for 4th, this season 3rd even 2nd although I don't see it. 3rd I think. Wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea nicked 4th from spurs, especially with the hurrikane out.

Henderson's best season was under Rodgers.

Gomez and Trent didn't play last year.

Klavan I agree but he doesn't play.

Ox, Salah, Robertson are buys.

Who from last years first 11 has kicked on, or had a better season this year? Only Firmino.

9.) 19 Mar 2018
19 Mar 2018 19:31:33
I never said Klopp doesn't improve a team. But The team is better because he has bought good players and used them well. Also Klopp has improved players he has bought in like Robertson.

But try to answer the question - who is having a better season from last seasons first 11?

Firmino.

10.) 19 Mar 2018
19 Mar 2018 19:46:13
Ox salah and Robertson have all improved since joining though and so what if taa and gomez didn't play last year? They have improved enough to play regularly now. I disagree about Hendo and Rodgers I think he is a better player now than he was then.

Maybe I missed the point of the original post but it seems to me it doesn't matter where someone was last season, if they're improved now it must have something to do with klopp.

It doesn't really matter as long as the team improves, but it is the reason we are not challenging for the title. Also it will be very worrying if the same happens again next year.

12.) 19 Mar 2018
19 Mar 2018 20:05:20
Henderson was better before his injury problems and was good the year we came second. Not a player I rate in his current position. He's better further forward.

13.) 19 Mar 2018
19 Mar 2018 20:38:40
Agreed Hessle a shame about the injuries. Henderson still better than Gini, Can, Miller.

14.) 19 Mar 2018
19 Mar 2018 21:12:42
Mark, what are you on about? Can was everyone's scapegoat including BR's, until Klopp came. He was nowhere near the German setup and now under Klopp, he is on his way to Russia and will get minutes at the WC. Did I also mention that he won the Confed Cup last summer?

Players like Lallana, Lovren, Milner, Hendo (in a diff. position b4 his injuries), Bobbie, Origi (before his nasty injury) and even Moreno. That is a shed load of players I just mentioned right there. And even the good players like Mane, Wiji, Robbo, Salah, Ox, Karius have ALL improved under him.

Now, will some be kept and others let go? Of course. But to say Klopp has not improved players is patently false. And for good measure, Klopp will NOT be doing any huge clear outs in the summer either cos you can't revamp half a squad in one window. Whether that means we will challenge for the title or not, we will see so just chill out and allow the process to play out.

{Ed025's Note - i stopped reading when you came out with "good players like wiji" brover, hes bloody awful mate and im all for sticking up for your own players but lets keep it real..

15.) 19 Mar 2018
19 Mar 2018 21:31:47
Brover you think all our players are great, fair play to you. Germany's second team won the cup and Can was on the bench. IMO he won't play any meaningful games in the World cup.

Going will be

Can because he has been told he will be a squad player
Miller and or Lallana see above
Mingolet
Clyne
Origi
Sturridge
Courtinho already gone
That is the minimum that will leave

thats half a team BRover.

16.) 19 Mar 2018
19 Mar 2018 21:40:27
I don't know how you got past Milner and Lovren have improved.

{Ed025's Note - i had stopped reading by then mark.. :)

17.) 19 Mar 2018
19 Mar 2018 23:00:26
But why didn't Mignolet improve under Klopp! You are way over the top BRover! Yes Klopp has improved players like most other managers! What about Lazar Markovic then? Clyne? Lovren is crap! End of! He has cost us more points than Mignolet!

{Ed033's Note - You can't be trained into being a top Premier League footballer unless you already have the potential in the first place to be a top Premier League footballer. Mignolet never had the potential to improve anymore.

You can’t just pick out individual players.
I don’t give a stuff about whether individual players are having a good season. Klopp coaches the team, they play as a team and the team is much better than last season.
