I just knew a team would pay for it after last week, get in, Salah is just unbelievable, what a fantastic 3 points!

City! beware!

for once I 100% agree. Our main man, the point getter, the match winner. Our best player.

Take a bow Mo Salah. I hope he finally proved to you he can do it on his own. Mane also top game today.

Yeah, what a response.

Fantastic performance from Robertson.

Vvd's calming influence and intelligence gives us yet another clean sheet.

Jordan Henderson is massive for us, absolutely massive. If he is fit for the city games, and of course the front three, we have every chance. He is relentless, never drops his game, even at 4 up.

I think our defense lacked intelligence before Vvd signed. They are clearly good defenders but would collapse too easily. None of that now. I fancy city, I really do. If we win the first game, it's ours imo.

Please don't go to Madrid Mo!

Also, try using your right foot one of these days :)

I don't really understand how Henderson comes out of today's fixture with the tag of him being massive for us. Salah is world class. The front 3 together look world class. Robertson looks great on the left and VVD has made a massive difference at the centre with Karius being a big added bonus and calming influence to the whole of the defence.

Jayden23 Henderson for me had a bad game, wayward passing and also got dispossessed a few times due to dithering on the ball.

Jay - it is simple he is better than the rest of our midfield. The only one who can pass forward. He didn't have his best game ( a bit rusty) but he is better than the rest.

Mark08 it's not me being critical of him but I also don't see him as our savour either. Last week fans were making out like we only lost because he didn't play. Hendo is a good player nothing more nothing less. We have gone from Stevie G and Alonso in the past to this current midfield. For me our midfield is our weakest area and I expect Klopp to fully strengthen it and that includes Hendo.

I really rate Hendo but for me it's who's around him, with the likes of Keita incoming with maybe another CM, I think we'll see incredible changes to Hendos game.

Henderson can control a game like no other player in our team. When you look back over the last 2/ 3 years and look at the games that we win by more than 3 goals, Hendo is always in the team. No it wasn't his best game but he still had a good game.

Salah scored with his right foot today Bennett. What more do you want? ;)

11.) 17 Mar 2018
17 Mar 2018 21:49:18
I'm sorry but I don't see how Hendo wins us games by more than 3 goals. Salah, Mane and Firmino are the reason we win games at a canter.

Jay I am with you mate. Midfield needs a massive upgrade.

Keita is top top quality by the way, just need to add 2 more.

Jay, I'm sorry BUT Salah is nowhere near world class yet as he will have to play at the level or close to the one he is playing at now, for the next 3 years as one season should not make you suddenly WC as he could have an average season next year.

Also, Hendo when fit, is indeed massive for us. His passing ability long or short, is well underrated and he as a DM or CM, never hides in games unlike others I can mention who play for us there (cough Wiji cough) .

Hendo tries passes that many won't do cos they are scared of losing the ball, That takes courage and his tactical and positional awareness, are what makes him better than Can in that position as Can is positionally weak while Hendo is not. Now, his injuries may have slowed him down (like it did Lucas) but if we will beat City, we are going to need him fit and firing, providing the bite and energy in midfield to allow the front 3 to flourish.

17 Mar 2018 23:40:31
Nonsense, his current level is world class. He will actually keep improving.

15.) 18 Mar 2018
17 Mar 2018 23:42:48
BRover I understand what you're say about Salah and whilst I agree he does need to maintain this form over a couple of seasons there's also no denying the form he has shown this season has been world class. We will have to agree to disagree on the Henderson one mate. We have already beat City this season without Henderson and we are currently 3rd and in the quarters of the CL with him missing quite a few games. To me players like Stevie G, Alonso, Suarez, Torres, Hypia, Rush, Keegan, Dalglish etc were massive. Henderson comes nowhere near massive to the club for me. Like i said previously this is not a Henderson bashing but just an honest opinion.

17 Mar 2018 23:50:19
Of course the forwards who score are the reason we win by 3 or more but its no coincidence that Henderson is always in the team on the days we win by big margins. It is his relentless mentality and his ability to control games. Don't underestimate our captain jay23, he is a massive player for us.

17.) 18 Mar 2018
18 Mar 2018 02:35:53
Salah IS world class. I he isn't, no one is.

18.) 18 Mar 2018

Stoneage. I know he scored with his right foot hence I said it. I was being sarcastic :)

18 Mar 2018 07:55:19
Supersalah great to hear your thoughts and have a little debate. I'm not underestimating the captain I just think he's overestimated. If you look at the games he has missed we have won many by 3 or more goals and have dropped many a point with him in the team this season. That's not me saying the games we drop points in are his fault but I'm also saying the games we win at a canter have little to do with him ether. Our best win and performance of the season against City was a game he didn't play in and now all of a sudden we will only beat City if he is fit. I'm more worried about the front 3 staying fit personally.

20.) 18 Mar 2018
18 Mar 2018 17:17:37
I don't think City would have got back into the anfield game if Hendo had played. You're right about the front three but I think we know they will score if fit. Beating City will be about keeping them out after beating them at anfield. We will need Jordan Henderson for that imo.

21.) 18 Mar 2018
18 Mar 2018 18:15:37
Hendo didn't do a very good job in keeping Spurs out mate or City after Mane was sent off. Yes we were down to ten but we only lost the shape of our front 3 in the shape of a winger. Midfield and defence were still the same. To be honest though mate I hope everyone is fit for the City game.
