I'd imagine the capacity has always been too low to host the European Cup final but what has stopped us from hosting the Europa League?

etc. etc.
13-14: Juventus Stadium - 41k
12-13: Amsterdam Arena - 53k
11-12: Arena Națională - 55k
10-11: Aviva Stadium - 51k
09-10: Imtech Arena - 57k
08-09: Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium - 50k
07-08: City of Manchester Stadium - 45k
06-07: Hampden Park - 52k
05-06: Philips Stadion - 35k
04-05: Estadio Jose Alvalade - 50k
03-04: Ullevi - 43k

Surely Anfield could've hosted one of those or previous ones. Any specific reasons why UEFA doesn't consider us?

I don’t know how it has worked in the past but from 2019 onwards it looks like it is an open bidding process, so the club/ FA would have to submit a bid to host the final.

Possibly the same reason we cannot upgrade stadium past 60000, home games is hard enough with public transport, imagine 60000 tourists trying to get there! Don’t get me wrong the city would be buzzing!

My other question is, what do the owners of the stadium gets of such match, say Anfield hosts 2019 Final of EL what the Liverpool club win from that, does all the sold tickets money goes to the club or UEFA pays Liverpool some amount to loan Anfield for one night? How does it work?

{Ed002's Note - The Football Associations bid for the opportunity to host the finals and nominate the venues to be used. Payment is not significant.}

Our stadium wasn’t considered up to the standard for elite level events, that’s one of the reasons they have for ripping all the history out of the changing rooms and dugouts.
