Lot of talk on here about positions we should be looking to strengthen this summer.

The big one for most of the season has been the keeper, but for me if Karius keeps progressing I think we should stick with him. We have an ideal number 2 to compete with him in Ward. If he can be convinced to stay.

I think we have good competition at full back positions in Arnold, Gomez, Moreno and Robertson. Next season they will have progressed again as well. We also have Gallagher who could break through.

Therefore I'd say a new centre back is the priority at the back. Gomez isn't ready yet so another season at right back competing with Arnold is best in my opinion.

Ideally Koulibaly or Upamecanno would be superb, but both could be out of reach. I think we could let Mignolet, Matip, Flannaghan and Klavan go if we can bring in a new centre back.

As for midfield this becomes more of a concern as the weeks go on for me. We have Keita coming which is a bonus. But we also seem to losing Can, and in addition I could see both Lallana and Milner leaving this summer. That would leave us it's just

Henderson.
Keita.
Chamberlain.
Wijnaldum.

Henderson does get injury problems and even if he didn't it's still only four players. Both Wilson and Grujic have impressed on loans and both could be squad players next season.

Lemar would be a great buy and fit our system well but even if we did I think a Cabellos would also be needed for strength in depth.

As for attack I think we will only see departures such as Sturridge, Origi and possibly Ings.

I agree mate. Keita, Lemar plus one other. Looking forward to a massive midfield improvement next season. I think a new midfield will make the defence look better, but I wouldn't say no to a new centre back.

Looks like an expensive summer.

I expect Mignolet and Ward to leave. I would like someone with experience come in as number 2.
