I hope we don't get Butland. Seems like a gigantic fee for a player in a relegation battle, I'd prefer the Roma lad.

Do you not think Robertson is doing well enough? I don't see many goals we concede coming down his side. I think in this order

Keita
center midfield
attacking midfield/ cover front 3
center back
keeper
right back

don't think we can buy anymore.

If we buy butland we simply haven't got a clue an going to b in same situation as we have been for 20 odd years, keepers who ain't up too it who will cost us points, can't believe it, hate too make references but Chelsea needed a keeper they bought, cech then courtois, man united bought de gea, man city got ederson, spurs lloris, we bought an then stuck wid mignolet, are we never going too learn!

I'd have Karius over Butland every day of the week. The only reason i'd remove Karius from his No.1 spot is if an obvious upgrade was attainable e. g. Oblak or Alison, he's performed very well since being made undisputed No.1.

Lovren, Moreno and Mignolet! 4 plus years and still nowhere good enough! Moreno can head back to Sevilla while Robertoskn can learn from a top class LB on how to provide width!
If you want to catch City and UTD next season you need one top drawer on each position! Else it’s another 20 points off from top spot!

No, he is not Cobra, IMO. Butland is at Stoke for a reason and the reason he is being bigged up is cos He's English and may play in the WC cos well, England has NO GK's at the moment. Butland is not better than Karius' left hand (he's right handed) and is overrated, injury and error prone. He's a poor shot-stopper, does not command his area and is dire in the high line system, ALL the things Karius beats him at. Go watch the games he has played this season and see for example, how he cost Stoke all 3 points at LC. Had Karius done that, he would be run out of town right after the final whistle

The fact of the matter is that if you're going to get a GK right now, go get one who is miles ahead of Karius and NOT one who is not fit to carry his gloves, IMO.

Butland has been average to poor since his injury.
I rated him before that.
Karius is on the up, Butland is not.

It’s a big gamble to go with Butland, not one worth taking on current form.

BRover is spot on Butland! He is no upgrade on Karius infact he is worse! Save the money.
