Eds just before the ox signed for Liverpool he was saying his inspiration was Gerrard and that he saw his future in central midfield. Do you think with him choosing us over Chelsea it was put to him that is where klopp would play him once he had settled in?

I remember an interview with AOC and he said he supported Zola and Henry so followed Chelsea or Arsenal, no mention of Liverpool?

When he was at Southampton, I remember reading on here that we were linked with him because he was a Liverpool fan. I think that they were asking more than Liverpool were prepared to pay and he signed for Arsenal instead.

Heard the same, spud. That's why Walcott was linked too. Maybe all these players think they are signing for their boyhood team coz Saints play in red too 😉.
