I got it tight on this page in the summer when i said Robertson was a steal at 8 million and has the potential to be brilliant, id like to see someone disagree now he is outstanding.

I’ve always been behind him too. 👍.

Steven Finnanesque. And that is as big a compliment you can pay.

Was interesting to see both him and Moreno on the pitch at the same time.

Was thinking that perhaps Moreno could do an alright job as a LM. Someone else on that side with a left foot.

Robertson isn't always great but I do appreciate his work rate. Final ball can also be inconsistent but he does seem to be improving on the whole as the season progresses. Not sure whether it was him or VVD in the wrong place for Antonio's goal, perhaps VVD.

Long winded way of agreeing that Robertson is doing alright yep!

I was underwhelmed when heard we were signing Robertson. Not disappointed but it didn't take the breath away. I have been firmly behind him as I am with all lfc players who try 100%. I think we fans have short memories, lb has been a problem for us for years, moreno started this season quite well and I was firmly behind him but after 5/ 6 games he was making rash tackles and getting caught too far forward. Now, we finally have a proper left back, the kid is tenacious and leaves it all on the pitch, he is getting better with each game, I prefer him to Danny Rose as Rose is too small for a defender Imo. Therefore I would say Robertson is the best British left back there is. 8 mil! He is already a 20mil player and will be more like 30mil by next season. (not including Gareth bale of course, not really lb anymore)

Lol I wouldn't go as far to say he is 'outstanding' he's proved to be a good buy so far for us there's no doubt about that but saying he's outstanding is going a little too far.

Robbo is far from outstanding by any stretch. He was still caught out a few times and for some reason, makes inside runs when on the overlap instead of outside runs hence, clogging up the space that either of the front 3 should be attacking. That needs to change. Now having said that, Is he improving? Yes. Does he still a few more gears to go esp. with tactical and positional awareness, game intelligence and final delivery? Yes. But "outstanding" definitely does not describe him yet, IMO.

{Ed025's Note - i think for a work in progress he is doing very well indeed brover..

Agreed 100% ed025.

He was outstanding today. Motm, some brilliant crosses and always an out ball. Never stops and doesn't risk too much at the back. Antonio scored from his flank but to be fair Can was kinda caught in the middle or was strongly dispossessed, milner slipped at the same time. We were in possession and we all know how attacking we are.

He seems to follow exactly what Klopp says, He covers some ground too, I wonder what his stats are for distance run in each game?
He must be up there with the best.

Both fullbacks young and doing very well I must say!

I would imagine he would have done a great job for you ed025 compared to Martina! I feel bad for Everton every time i see his name in the line up.

{Ed025's Note - i have to say that hes not the worst player in our team by a long chalk nostradmus, hes a right back playing on the left and has been an easy target for the boo boys mate..

He is decent and better than Moreno.
Has room to improve a lot.
Need to see ED’s review to see what they think.

Moreno is only good as a 5 min brother on the left wing. Ye robbo done well eh. Good on the lad.

I'd look at VVD before looking at Robertson for Antonio's goal. VVD was miles away when Antonio got the ball; probably on one of his walkabouts that a lot of us have been dreading. But I shouldn't exaggerate, VVD has made a huge, positive impact on our defense.

That goal was primarily down to Can losing possession in the middle of the park.
No need for it and that’s why our defence was caught out.

{Ed001's Note - correct but Robbo stood and watched as Can went down in stages instead of dropping back into position as a defender should. That is something he needs to learn from as he had a really good game other than that yesterday.}
