I have supported this club since the end of Souness's tenure, lived through the brilliant football we played under Evans, what a pity he was forced out by the club.

Houllier, Rafa, Hodgson, Rodgers the club failed to get back to the top.

I am reliving the days of Roy Evans where I believe the club can finally push on to greater things again.

No more boardroom battles, no more net spend BS. No more burning of flags outside of Anfield.

The club is finally in a much better state sine that money hungry Moores and Rafa and H and G picking a fight the whole time.

Lets get behind the club as fans from now till the end of the season and pump this team up to finish on a high.

YNWA.

But its completely true. People bleating about the lack of a title challenge under klopp and our position at the moment but, when you look at the last 27 or so years of liverpool history, who exactly has done better? Sure we have serious problems in midfield and defence but we are looking to rectify them. Does nobody remember the likes of pongolle or le tallec?

Where is this gold standard of recent liverpool history klopp has failed to reach? I think some forget a few years ago our squad was made up of the likes of bellamy, cole, rodriguez, a broken fabio aurelio. We were in pieces after rafa left. How a squad like that was not in the bottom half i will never know. Sure the lack of trophies is a bug bare but this is nitpicking when you look at the bigger picture. We haven't looked as healthy or likely to go on to great things since the early 90's. Appreciate what we are seeing now and show support!

Burning flags outside the ground? 😕. If your referring to protests then your living in a fantasy land if you think we will sit there and not highlight something we feel is wrong. Scousers are pre programmed to question authority or orginsations they feel are pulling the wool over there eyes, good job really isn't it or we'd still be blamed for Hillsborough or stuck with the two cowboys.

There's me thinking he was going to write about the 70s and 80s, instead I read about Evans, Souness, Rodgers etc who are not necessarily the best.

Your heart is in the right place Max but it comes across as patronising, just like my first paragraph.

Out of curiosity, do you go to the game to show your support like the other 50k supporters? It's alright banging the drum about support, but they are the people who count to me, the ones in a fortunate position to obtain tickets and who skint themselves week in week out to follow their team.

Please don't take this the wrong way but it's their opinion that counts, and I can assure you it's in massive contrast to most opinions on here.

Everyone's opinion counts of course, but some a little different to others.

Peace.

You are taking claim for getting rid of H&G Waro? I pretty much thought the banks pulled the plug on them and were forced to sell?

Thats very narrow minded of you Daveybootle, to think that its only the 50k that (as you say) are fortunate to get tickets. Do you think Liverpool would be the club it is without the international "support" it gets thru out the world? Would they be able to sign the likes of VVD without the global sponsorship the get? Would Sky pay so much TV money if it only attracted a local audience? Im not having a pop Davey but i think you're selling the global support short mate.

@davey. Your post read more like "1984" than YNWA.
