Griezmann was never going to join us. Barcelona want him as their marquee summer signing, Real want him to replace an ageing forward line and both Manc clubs have been interested in him for a while. No way LFC comes into the picture.

I am less interested in who it was really, I just want to know what position in the team we are looking to fix with this top top player. If it was Griezmann I don't see the point as we have a great forward line already and Id much rather prefer someone like Varane or Rabiot. Eds/ Macca can you at least tell us what position he would play in the team?
