Ed, fantastic article and love all the snippets of info about what went on then. Btw, Jim Craig was my dentist when I was a teenager and he told me he set up the winning goal for the European Cup! Obviously a bit of embellishment there. Sadly, despite his footballing talent, he wasn’t a very good dentist haha.

I was thinking of European football in my favourite era, 1965 - 1985, and the vast tactical differences that teams / countries produced.
Celtic were definitely one of the great teams of that time, what formation / s did they play at that time?

Their achievement in reaching the 1970 European Cup Final is much less talked about but was that (largely) the same team?
The Leeds Utd website "The Mighty Mighty Whites" has some fantastic reviews of their great games and the Celtic v Leeds semi final clashes are tremendous - 136,000 people at the Celtic home tie at Hampden!
