Eds have you guys done any analysis of Celtic's Moussa Dembélé? Many thanks.

{Ed001's Note - I haven't no, I don't tend to get to see a lot of him play, even on the rare times I watch Celtic play he has been injured.}

Same Ed 😂 only game i saw him play in was against Hearts and Celtic got spanked 4-0.

To me, Dembele looked like he had a lot of pace and power, some very good tricks and close control, but his finishing and decision making was poor. When he shot, he just put his foot through it, and he didn't get his head up enough in the final third.

I think he is or will be good enough for the Premier League, but i haven't seen enough of him to be sure.

Armstrong really should be looking to get out of Celtic though. I've seen him a few times for Scotland and Celtic, and every time he looks like he's two or three levels above his team mates.

{Ed001's Note - I really only see one outstanding player in Scotland - Tierney. There are a couple of possibles in Armstrong and Ralston (very maybe in his case) but Dembele looks like a lot of fuss about nothing to me.}

Didn't Tierney come out and openly say he won't ever leave Celtic? I think he'll be doing himself a disservice if he sticks to that.

On the subject of left backs Ed, do you know how well thought of Adam Lewis is at the club? Personally, i think this season he has elevated himself to possibly being the brightest talent in the whole academy after Brewster.

I think Lewis might have a genuine chance if he stays grounded and avoids injury *frantically touches wood*.

{Ed001's Note - yeah, it is unlikely Tierney will move for now.

Lewis has stepped up this year and has impressed. He is seen as the nearest possible to making a breakthrough right now in the youth ranks. I wouldn't have been surprised if he had got a run out in the cup while Moreno was out injured. There was certainly some consideration given to it.}

You mean nearest possible left-back Ed001? Is Juanma not living up to what we'd hoped? He's just turned 21, should be getting close next season or are there some issues there?
Thanks a mil.

{Ed001's Note - he is centre back now.}

MK - appreciate the point about Tierney but on the other hand if he really means it, you have to respect a player who genuinely loves his club so much he plans to stay there for his career. Or alternatively he know's he'll get 10+ league winning trophies for piss all work and is happy with that for a career.

Cheers Ed. That doesn't surprise me either. He's been fantastic. I was absolutely stunned at how good he is in the final third until i learned he started out as a No.10 type player. Now it's his defensive qualities that stun me every time i see him play. He doesn't half get stuck in!

Fingers crossed we've found ourselves a left footed Trent!

{Ed001's Note - let's hope so.}

As he was at Barcelona but he's only played LB for the U23s this season. Maybe that versatility will help him take Klavan's place in the squad in a year or two.

{Ed001's Note - should do.}

I was laughing at the comment by Hjickle, me and my mates joke about the easiest job in footy being the Celtic job and how Rogers plan all a long was to get to Celtic, with pool being a stepping stone to get it! Then he finally achieves his dream of managing Celtic ;)
