Ed025, with the signing of Walcott to add to Lennon, Rooney, Baines, Williams and Jagielka; is there any chance Allardyce might take James Milner off of our hands to further improve your chances of winning the 2011/ 12 Premier League title?

{Ed025's Note - no MK hes far too young, we like more experienced players so we are going for yakubu, who according to his passport is only 17..

It’s Emile Heskey you need Ed! He’s a free agent now Bolton have been relegation from Champ.

{Ed025's Note - emile (bambi on ice) is not the answer statto, we will see how theo and cenk do first before we start panicking mate..

{Ed002's Note - Inter previously asked about a loan and were told no. I am not aware of an approach to buy him.}

To be honest although the OP is a joke there is something to be taken from this, and evertons troubles are something i have seen coming for a while.

That being that moyes managed to get together a solid squad with some decent players, on the back of very lucky transfers and decent management. Everton developed a core of decent players who were in the team for many years - baines, coleman, jags, neville, distin howard etc. The problem they've had is that all these players have grown old at pretty much the same time and have not been replaced suitably. Through injuries or ageing their plights have been ignored season after season, and instead of the squad being supplemented and strengthened, with declining players taken out gradually, it has all been left til the last minute - resulting in the core of what made everton a decent team being ripped out all in one go. This is quite similar to what caused the decline of liverpool in the 90's and united recently, albeit on a smaller scale. At that point, what all those teams have in common is they have tried to solve it with panic buying and lots of money, and it doesn't work, just makes you slide even further. Just wondering what you make of that perspective on it ed025.

{Ed025's Note - i think your spot on AW, we never had money for a number of years and were shopping at lidl while the top teams were at harrods, when moshiri came along our managers were like kids in a sweet shop buying everything that moved, this disrupted the team beyond repair and is still going on at the minute, i remember liverpool winning the league wit 14 players being used and thats the secret... continuity, we need to get a stable team and stick with it instead of these constant bloody changes so that players get to know each other, its not easy when you are playing catch up though and the microwave fans are looking for instant success, my solution would be for them to appoint me as manager mate.. :)
