Looks like Can maybe staying then, personally I'd rather let Hendo go and keep Can.

If he stays I don’t expect another CM to come in baring Kieta which means Hendo goes to the bench or out!

Personally i wish people would leave Henderson alone, the guy deserves nothing but credit playing with and trough a bad injury he has to manage!

Legendary, you have wrote exactly my thoughts. I don't understand why so many people are against Henderson. When fully fit on his day he is so vital for us, people fail to realise this and it's concerning.

Because they are boo boys who would rather lavish praise on someone like Coutinho who disrespected the club, fakes injury etc rather than praise Hendo who gives his all and plays through injury for the club. The same sort of fans who used to give Lucas grief.

I'm sure one of the Eds said Hendo would be "fazed" out.

Hendo is a better player than Can, the only thing holding him back is injuries. If he can recover he'll be at the club for a long time.

Nobody denies Henderson's passion and willingness to work like a tireless donkey. However, its becoming more apparent, Liverpool don't threaten as well with Hendo in the side. Can and Gini's performances prove they work together well.

Don't agree with Spooked comments; we have shown more desire to win the ball back and also have a stronger attacking presence without hendo and there are many stats out there to prove it.

please show me those stats?! Because its a fact liverpool has almost 18 % higher winning rate with Henderson in the side than not, so i would love to see the stats you are talking about!

Henderson is better than Can, Gini, Lallana, Milner and Chamberlain in all of their respective roles; such is his versatility.

However that is only when he is fit. Seeing as he hasn't been fit for 3 years now, i think it is time to move on. I was al for giving him time, but after his latest set back, I've given up hope and it is not fair on the fans or the rest of the team to wait for him any longer. If he's not fit to play 40 games a season, move on.

I'd rather trust Klopps judgment on this particular matter than yours Mk Scouser, no disrespect whatsoever mate.

Hendo is a strong, solid midfielder and just needs a lucky run without injuries to "prove" his quality again.

Because the only stat that matter to me is LFC winning games!

The Klopp who is targeting more midfielders, Legendary? Since joining the club he has signed Grujic, Wijnaldum, Chamberlain and Keita. He is clearly not happy with his midfield, as we're still after at least 1 other midfielder on top of that.

I respect what you're doing though mate. I've spent the last 3 years defending Henderson from abuse. People still can't see what he brings to the team when fit. I've just finally given up hope on him actually ever being fit to play a decent run of games. This happened to Lucas as well remember. Fantastic midfielder, struggled with injury for a few years, and was never quite the same again. You can't build a team around players who can't stay fit. I think Klopp has already realised that though to be honest.

It's time to move on mate. Keep Henderson as a squad player for sure. He is a model pro and a great player. He has nothing to "prove" ability wise in my opinion. A lot of our players are just entering their prime though. Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Moreno, Gini, Can, Chamberlain, Mane, Salah and Firmino are all between 24-26 years old. Over the next 5 years, we need to win something major because after that, we'll probably need to start rebuilding again with half the squad being in their 30's. With that in mind, it is not fair on these players if we ask them to just hang tight for another couple of years because we are waiting for Henderson. He needs replacing, and then if he finds fitness after that, it will just be an added bonus. A footballers career is short, and for as long as we are hoping for Henderson's return and therefore refusing to replace him in midfield and as captain, we are building a weak link into our best XI. I hope he gets fit again this season and finds form so it doesn't come to that, but is anybody confident of that anymore?

ChickenTikkaMoSalah, I await to hear these stats you talk of. Only stats I'm interested in is the final score. That's the only stat what matters to me but your stats sound interesting.

MK, I am quite confident on it to be honest, I totally understand what you're saying in your post and your not wrong but I really do think he can bounce back. Obviously right now it's a guessing game, we just don't know whether he will or he won't but I'd certainly like to think he can.

If you were to compare the other top 5 teams in the PL and compare Henderson to players in their midfield. Would we stand out as #1 and title contenders? Look Henderson’s a class act, works hard give his all bad luck with injury, but I’ve said since he arrived we will not win trophies with Henderson in midfield. I’m sorry that’s reality. You can be other positions, lack of this too much of that and fair enough, but it’s not all on him but when top flight teams add players like De Bruyne to a midfield with David silva, or a Kante to fabregas, all, Erickson, we are delusional to think we compare. Just my opinion, but I thought the lads played exceptional on Sunday best I’ve seen in a long time, the passion desire was unmatched accompanied by the skill we know they all have and the confidence to use it with perfection. Couldn’t be prouder. YNWA.

Irony, when people moan about player loyalty and the likes of Coutinho not honouring his contact and then trying to force our loyal captain out ( who gives his all for the club) whilst he tries to over come his injuries . Brilliant.
