I'll enlighten you no problem MK. We tell him he's going nowhere until it suits the club tell him and Barcelona the deal will be done when a suitable replacement is identified and found agree all the details tell him sometimes you can't always get what you want you get what you need and he can leave in the summer. No this deal was sorted months ago by these owners, all the bluster of not for sale was nonsense and I always knew it.

The reason he's gone now is because Barcelona new we wanted to sell so told our small owners "if it doesn't happen now it won't happen at all". They turned green sh#t a brick and caved, why? because of van dijk and keita, because that's not money there prepared to pay unless there is more than that coming in. So what I've said we should of done at the top of the page couldn't be done because we were more desperate for the transfer to happen than Barcelona.

From the FSG handbook.

Step 1. We have to raise ticket prices to be able to compete.

Step 2. We are freezing ticket prices for the 3RD YEAR RUNNING.

Step 3. We tried to convince the player to stay but have to respect his wishes/ dream to play for Barcelona and reluctantly agree to his sale.

"If you throw the seals enough fish they will continue to jump through hoops for you".

What on earth are you talking about?

So to summarize, this is just another in a LONG line of mindless anti-FSG rant that have no basis in reality, right? Got it.

So embarrassing Waro. You have a warped view on most things.

What do you think I'm on about firmane? Why don't you RTP and you might understand.

Firmane, he tried to tell us all the other day that Liverpool's owners are only interested in money because they let Coutinho go, and i asked him to tell what he would've done to keep a player who was faking injuries.

Waro, it seems I'm swimming against the tide. Since buying the club they've broken our pre-FSG transfer record on a ridiculous amount of occasions. Suarez, Carroll, Lallana, Benteke, Firmino, Wijnaldum, Mane, Salah, Chamberlain, Keita and Van Dijk all cost more than our previous record deal for Fernando Torres.

It's an absolute joke that you continue to question their commitment to the club. Just that list above is nearly £400m of players on 11 players alone. How can you question them after that kind of spending? It's absolutely beyond me.

Ticket price increases? I really think fans are blowing this out of proportion. Welcome to inflation. Everything increases in price as time goes on. Wages go up, population goes up, demand goes up, prices go up. That's life.

BRover, what you need to ask yourself is, why is there a long line of anti FSG posts? I quite like Americans so what else could it be? Hmm. 😏.

Oh look waro is back now there’s something he can spin some hate around. Complete fraud and clearly not a genuine Liverpool fan.

I know that Waro is a long time poster here at the site and the Eds respect him. He like all posters is entitled to his opinion. I know the owners have a lot of catching up to do with the fan engagement like ticket pricing and transparency but till now they haven't been that bad. They have made mistakes, they have learned from a few and haven't learned from a few.

But you cannot expect the owners to be altruistic, of course they would like to make profit at some point in time and would also want the club to be more self reliant but expecting them to pump in their own money is expecting a lot. I for one don't know about the expenses of running a club and the internal challenges faced by the owners so wouldn't comment on it but what I can see and understand they have done a decent job. They can and dare I say they will improve in the future but for now we have to wait and watch for what happens without being to judgemental.

Yes your right, I'm a loon who hates organisations for no reason whatsoever. I'd love to say what's on my mind but you'd never see it so I'd be wasting my time . Continue saying what you want about me when I can't defend myself. Southampton page? That's just a lie but what can ye do, some folk can continually post and some can't.

MK, you speak about inflation re ticket prices, could inflation have anything to do with us breaking our transfer record over the past 7 years?
Anyone know our net spend since FSG arrived?

15.) 08 Jan 2018
08 Jan 2018 01:12:57
Im not the biggest FSG fan myself but compared to what has come before they are angels, and money is probably the only area they cannot be criticised on. Are you not aware the club just broke the world record fee for a defender? Where the hell do you think the money came from? We sold coutinho because he wanted to leave, we have sold players before and have immediately reinvested the money. I feel sorry for you that you have this painfully warped perception of things.

18and5 - I think FSG have now been the owners for about 7 years or so (correct me if I'm wrong) . They signed Carrol for our then record fee of 35M - our transfer record fee is now 75m. that's more than double. Way way way more than the rate of inflation over 7 years.

I don’t know why people argue about this.
Does anyone really think FSG are interested in football? I think they openly admitted they were new to the sport when they took over. It’s a bit of a stretch to think they’re in it for the fans. To FSG we are customers.
Now FSG are businessmen and you don’t succeed by upsetting your customers. They also understand in sports ownership you make a lot more money if you have a successful team.
1) they want to make money out of us
2) they want the team to succeed
3) they’re not really football fans.

They’re owners, what do people expect? I can live with the 3 statements I’ve made because I realise there isn’t much alternative.
Cutting ticket prices would be nice, but people must realise the reality of FFP. If you drop income you drop your budget to spend on players. Similarly, if you don’t pay the big fees and wages you don’t attract your favourite players and you become less competitive. Less competitive = less marketable = less money coming in = a downward spiral.

What I’m saying is it is not simple to drop ticket prices. We don’t have to like the owners. They’re here to do make money. That’s ok, they need a successful team to really cash in. 🤝.
