I would personally start VVD tomorrow, for the main reason, if there is understandable inconsistencies with whoever he's partnered with and a mistake are made I think we will still have too much for Everton and it means when we face city, the debut has been done, first game jitters out the way and over a week to train, just my opinion, I can see reasons for him not starting as well, what are your thoughts?

I think it’s always a terrible idea to underestimate your opponent, especially if it’s a derby.
We also don’t want VVD to make a mistake, have fans on his back and him losing confidence. VVD will need time to adjust to his teammates and their playing style.
He would also be lacking match fitness and will have to be gradually brought in. At best I would have him on the bench, and depending on the situation in the game slowly bring him in.

I agree he should start tomorrow because I think it’s always a good idea to blood a new player against one of the smaller teams😏.

He cost £75mil. He should be starting these big matches.

While it’s great we’ve drawn Everton, I would have preferred a lower league opponent so we could have a look at Gomez and VVD as a pair as I can see that being option 1 next season, against Everton however, I can’t see it being anyone other than lovren and Klavan currently.

If he’s match fit and completed training he should start.

If I had it my way, yes I want to see him play as soon as possible but I'd rather him get his head around been here, get some more training in before been pushed into the deep end. He would probably be fine to start tomorrow but I think he shouldn't and we should start him against Man City. Sure though maybe put him in the last half hour of the game tomorrow if needed.

I think it will be a different type of game for the last time we played Everton. Everton will take confidence from coming away with a point and they know they can score plus no pipco and prob no mo. 🙏🏼We win though after last time was embarrassing that we couldn’t see the game out and klopp must want to put this right.
