Ed001, you able to divulge in what our strategy is with the VVD negotiation?

It seems like the club is waiting for an invitation from Saints to make a bid, but surely they'll just have to invite themselves into a discussion with an eye-watering bid?

{Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware the club are waiting for Saints to give the OK. We are not going to antagonise them any further by pushing them on it.}

Do you expect them to change their stance and give it the OK?

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea. New owners there have meant things are not the same as they were.}

At this rate Virgil might have to fake his own death so we can sign his long lost identical twin brother Vincent!

It sounds bizarre ed. Why would Saints suddenly go out of their way to invite Liverpool into a negotiation with only 12 hours left?

{Ed001's Note - because no one else is going to bid and the player is desperate to leave. It is us or keep him as no one else will go in for a player that is determined to sign for us.}

Yeah of course, I just mean it's bizarre that they'd suddenly decide to give the OK with such little time left in the window. Why not do it yesterday? Or the day before? To make Liverpool more desperate?

There is something up, because Liverpool seem to be expecting Southampton to eventually give the OK.

There is NO WAY Southampton will be giving the OK!
