ok. let's move away from the will they/ won't they (sell) for a minute and say the club does sell coutinho, what are our replacement options? as a previous poster had just said the intention was to sell all along surely they had a list of replacements.

To be honest, I am more bothered about how Klopp will feel when Coutinho gets sold. What is he going to think? Does he now think "sod this i'm off too"?
That's the bigger concern for me now. How does Klopp feel?

If Coutinho does go, then Firminho gets to go back to his preferred position right? So we would actually be looking for a different type of player than a Coutinho replacement? More of another striker maybe?

All comes down to Klopps state of mind and what direction he wants to go I guess.

then there is the can situation. but I'd be happy with a kovacic and/ or coric, maybe another winger (ziyech if true) signing plus VVD and I would actually see it as a positive summer.

Simple, FSG tell Klopp we back him all the way but he needs to manage the player and make a decision. If Couts says I won't play like Masherano, what can you do.
