Just a thought for you all, if Chelsea came to anfield with Klaven and Louvren as their centre backs how would we feel.

In other words we will never win the Premiership with Louvren as our main CB - I have hoped he would improve and he has had a couple of decent games however as yesterday again proved he makes too many mistakes for a top 4 side, please Mr Klopp get a decent centre back to partner Matip. If we do then we can seriously target the title.

I agree with you about Lovren, he flatters to deceive.
Like Migs, he'll have some fine performances and really look the part, then he'll make a stupid error and cost you a game.
Matip is our best central defender, Lovren is not an adequate deputy.

I don't think Lovren is the weak link personally, he needs a solid CB partner and that is not Klavan. Lovren has is bigger workload with Klavan - don't want to badmouth Klavan, but I am nervous when he plays and calmer with Lovren and Matip.

I agree with the Lovren assessment - simply not good enough and only performs when paired with real quality (something we used to say about Skrtel) . Lovren ain't good enough and should be replaced in my opinion (either by Gomez or a purchase) .

If you NEED a solid centreback for you to perform, you ARE the weak link. Klavan hasn't been close to as bad as Lovren. Lovren has a biger workload because he's targeted due to his weaknesses. Klavan handled zlatan better when zlatan didn't have time to place himself against lovren, He did ok vs sterling and others. Lovren is th undeniable weak link.
Lovren has had multiple partners in Sakho, Klavan, matip, Skrtel, toure and has looked below average with them all. Not amunt of solidity in a partner will solve this. I haven't even mentioned his POOR! partnership with Clyne since Matips been out.

It will be interesting to see the rest of the transfer window now.
For me even with Mane playing there is something missing in our midfield. A lack of structure maybe players interchanging.
I dunno but I guess that's why these manager guys get the big bucks.

Lovren also played when we were smashing teams, yesterday was a collective fail none of our players bar firmino turnt up. They expected to walk over swansea and got taught a lesson. Always give your best no matter who you are playing.

There is always next year folks, let's just cheer them on to a good top 4 finish and hope they have learned their lesson, klopp included!
