Sturridge isn't good enough for us there's no point going into it too much but he's not. Constantly injured and when he plays he looks lazy as hell. We can't rely on sturridge, if he got bit by a fly he'd be injuredm I really like the man I think he's brilliant, or was. We haven't seen him at his best for a few years, enough is enough.

A 60min Sturridge is better than many 90 min strikers in the league e. g Borini.

Although I do wish we have charlie Austin in our ranks as backup.

Charlie Austin is out for pretty much the rest of the season, he has the same injury issues as sturridge and can't be relied on as a 30+ game a season player in the league.
Studge and Ings will both need to move on before we get in another striker.
We aren't playing the way Sturridge feeds off and scores goals and to be frank it's only Coutinho that spots his runs, he is making them when he plays, but others aren't on his wavelength, the amount of well timed runs he's made when he plays but doesn't receive the ball is quite high. we often opt for the less risky pass that won't concede the posession trying to get in behind. A striker like studge also needs to be selfish at times, which when I've been watching, I get the feeling he doesn't feel he has that freedom.

I'm sorry did I just read sturridge isn't good enough for us? He is probably the most gifted striker in the league. The most natural finisher and one of only a few who can come up with something completely unexpected to win games. He was our best player against Sunderland and looked the only one likely to score. We drew. get over it and stop thinking this changes anything. The season is halfway over. We could lose 5 more times or this could be part of an unbelievable unbeaten run. we don't know. 2 points dropped at this stage are not going to define the season.

I may have my issues with Studge BUT never have I mentioned that he`s not good enough as he clearly is and has always been.

Blaming strikers coz we couldn't score 3 against a certain relegation team shows how much trust we have in our defense and midfield. 2 goals is enough to secure 3 points.
