Does anyone think Ings should be given a chance ahead of Origi?

He's training well scoring goals for reserves.

Perhaps a place on the bench and some minutes?

Ings can be excellent, Origi to me is definately one for the future. Ings should start ahead of the lad, he's brilliant. Tbh I love Sturridge but both Ings and Origi should be ahead of him, but what do I know.

I agree he deserves a shot but it's Sturridge for me vs Man Utd and give Ings a shot vs a team away from home where his hard work and chasing their defenders (like Firmino does) will be invaluable.

And what has Ings done to start ahead of Origi, exactly? Scoring in the U-23 league? That`s it? The only reason Origi is not playing more is cause Firmino is doing the job. Ings is in the bottom of the pecking order even tho I like him as a player, that is still a fact that can be verified with your eyes so again, what has Ings done this season to play ahead of him?

That's not the case Hamilton, it's about giving a young player who's grafted his way back from a very serious injury a chance to play some first team minutes.
He's scoring in the ressies and training hard. That's good enough for me.

I feel sorry for Ings who is a good young striker, but has to compete with a supremely talented and slightly younger striker in Origi for a periphery role. Origi will play more than Sturridge within the year for me.

For me, Ings would be better suited to a 2 up front scenario. Where we need a plan B.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

We've scored 24 goals - let's just keep doing what we're doing. Ings is doing well, but I wouldn't change a thing at the moment. He'll get his chance in due time.
