Hi Eds

Just a quick question on transfers using Ilori as an example.

You mention that he may end up staying purely as we cannot find a buyer etc and it got me wondering how a club let's other clubs know about a player being available for transfer?

Is it just a case of calling every club/ agent individually and seeing if they can do something or speaking to the player's agent to get hime/ her to speak to clubs? Or is it a case of use the media to help spread the word subtley?

I'm guessing a mixture of the above, plus clubs generally approaching players they have been scouting anyway?

{Ed002's Note - Via the agents of the player who are briefed to look for a new club and given a broad idea about expectations for a transfer or a loan. It is nothing to do with the media except when Liverpool place an advert in the small ads of the Echo: "Donkeys for sale".}
