Ed if you would could you please give your opinion on Sky sports. I see they are repeatitily referred to on this site as "sly sports". I don't understand this as I believe they have certainly played there part in getting the premier league to where it is today. Especially at the beginning with the money which they have pumped into the game? . I find there coverage or at least the availability of games top class. For the likes of us who can't get to every game I find they are well informed and such shows as soccer Saturday are top drawer. Maybe I'm missing something and I'm totally wrong about the whole situation.
Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - I am not one to ask as I don't watch much television - and none of the "sports" channels. I like older stuff like the Avengers, Man In A Suitcase and The Saint. I find television to now be very trite. Roger Ramjet has always been a favourite, Peter Gunn, the Monkees and Get Smart are others. Liverpool fans probably refer to Sky as Sly by accident - as due to their really poor diet they all have really fat fingers (in addition to their humongous asses) and it is likely an issue with the keys on the keyboard being so close together.}

Murdoch owns the paper whose name shall not be uttered and Murdoch effectively owns Sly Sports.

{Ed002's Note - Which everyone watches - ironically.}

Lol, class response that Ed002. I remember those shows, they were pretty good, especially the Avengers, Get Smart and the Monkees.

Have to agree with ed2 between work and kids I barely have time to watch tv shows. I watch lfc games live on tv when possible or reply on lfc go. In regards to old tv shows my favorites are Magnum PI, Miami Vice and MASH!

Bilko, Man from Uncle, The Prisoner, High Chapparal, Bonanza. Bewitched, The Sweeney and The Professionals. TV in its heyday.

{Ed002's Note - I was thinking about Bewitched earlier today.}

It was really uncomfortable when the actor playing Darren changed and no one mentioned anything. Why didn't Samantha notice!

Blackadder. But not the first season, the young ones. And a dash of Benny hill, the goodies and keeping up appearances.

Ed is after my heart. I watched Man In The Suitcase, The Saint with Ian Ogilvy and the Avengers with Patrick McFee as well growing up. Also watched Roger Ramjet, Max.

Roger Ramjet was only rivalled by Danger Mouse (and his sidekick Penfold) . Good times!

{Ed007's Note - Dangermouse was ruined for me when I found out it was Delboy and that plank of wood out of Terry and June that done the voices. Dogtanian and the Three Muskahounds is probably the best cartoon from that era, that or Dungeons and Dragons.}

Seemingly Ed002's as well markovicsnuts. Why else would he be thinking about it 40 odd years later?

{Ed002's Note - My youngest daughter had a teddy bear called Penfold.}

Never rewatch your fav shows, loved he-man when growing up but watched an episode on some kids channel the other day and it was not how i remembered it unfortunately. Has to be the A Team for old school tv, hannibal and face oh and Mr T, wicked. Just loved how they spent the whole episode shooting machine guns and nobody ever got shot.

I use to love how you could lock the A Team in a shed with a toilet role a blow torch and a set of stabilisers and they would burst out in a tank.

Dungeons and dragons was brilliant! How about the racoon's and thunder cats! ?!?!

{Ed007's Note - I hated Thundercats, that and The Mysterious Cities of Gold everyone raved about were probably my least favourites.}

Dogtanian was and is brilliant, great shout, Ed007!

Bought the box set a year ago and now my 4yo son is also hooked on it!

So hilarious to look at the quality of animation now, but it's 35 years old, so no surprise! Series one is the best, series 2 and the films have different voices for some characters and the animation lost some of its charm.

Fantastic!
