We are on the cusp of having a tasty little group of players next season. I love the way Kloppo is assessing what he has at the moment and also slowly but surely incorporating and bedding in the youngsters i. e Stewart. Who unfortunately I think will take Leiva's place in the squad next season but equally I'm chuffed for Stewart. With Ings and Gomes to come back and with a few quality additions we could have one hell of a team. Don't forget the Holy Trinity of Sturbridge, Phil and Bobby. If we can add power in the midfield as I don't think Emre Can is going to be that man, get a half decent keeper, purchase a dominant center back and persuade the Chinese into thinking lalana and Benteke can play football then I'm looking forward to a bright and winning future!

Think you should stick to dentistry, Lallana and Benteke can play football to a high standard, both established Internationals, whether they fit in to Klopps thinking remains to be seen - and the fact that you don't think Can has "power" baffles me completely.

John B I've seen Emre Can play 28 times this season and only once has he bossed the game. My personal opinion is he won't become a Keane, Petit, Viera, Makelele-Esque type player for us. I feel he has a ceiling. As for Benteke and Lalana, maybe they can produce football to a high standard the point is it's evident their not doing it with us due to them not fitting in with our style of play. So what should we do? Pay them their exuberant salaries for the rest of their contracts or sell them, get a decent fee and replace them with youth from the academy or players that have the savvy to adapt to our style of play? Its a new world out there John B. We have the internet now, Mobile phones and HD television. Oh and another thing football has moved on also it's not all wingers and big centre forwards either. And by the way I'm not really a dentist it's called an avatar it's associated with that Internet thingy I was talking about earlier.

Lallana is all tricks and flicks, runs all day BUT with little to no end product. Benteke is a good player but does he fit the way Klopp wants to play? We`ll see. As for Can, if you think he has no pace nor power then you need to watch closely or don`t quit your day job to be a pundit. Check his goal vs Villa. If that is not laced with pace to break loose and power behind the strike then I can`t help you.

Yep agree with Ohio, I think Kloppo likes very direct/ efficient attacking players, get the ball attack space and get it in a goal scoring chance as quick as possible.
Lallana is very talented and sometimes I think he wants to show that off too much instead of putting in an early cross.
Benteke will not survive the cull IMO.
Can needs a break, he can be that midfield dynamo and he has the ability, he just needs to learn a bit more "match-craft". I think Kloppo will bring that out of him.

Can is vision and positional discipline away from being a very good player. Those are things he can learn as he plays.

Bear in mind he only had about a season and a half of first team footie before he arrived and spend most of his first season here playing center back and right back. So he's not got a massive wealth of experience in central midfield.

You could also add Can has only scored once this season. A poor stats for a powerful B2B midfielder.

emre can is going to be one hell of a player imo. yes he can be frustrating and inconsistent but he is only 21yrs old. I would push him further forward myself esp if Henderson is going to be sitting, let can power forward, i'm surprised he only has 1 goal as he possesses a good shot on him. also when things are not going well he dosent hide, he gets just as angry as we do, he has already had a eventful lfc career playing in multiple positions. a versatile player is a great asset to have. I hope the goal against villa encourages him to shoot more often. just remember when you clamour for youngsters to be given a chance they could be just as frustrating and inconsistent as emre, with the odd moment of brilliance thrown in. The best is yet to come from emre can.

I just love Can's passion, he gives all he can. Still very young and will only get better;-)

You can see Can's quality and a lot of people forget he's only 21. He always works hard and wants to win. I think over the next 24 months both Can and Ibe can really take it up another level!
