Well i'm going to concentrate mostly on the positives. It was good to see a lot of young players playing. Under the right guidance we could have base of a team for years to come, just not under Rodgers. We all know that. Can, especially in these games has to play in midfield. He is wasted in defence. Now, one negative. Jordan Ibe, his confidence is shot to pieces. Head down, a lot a shaking his head when he lost the ball. I felt quite sorry for him. This was meant to be his break thru season and it still can be but maybe for the meantime he needs maybe 4/5 matches out of the limelight. Poor kid.

Ibe needs to be taken out of the spotlight and slowly re-introduced in a position he is comfortable in. But what does the Fraud do, plays him left wing back, for the first time in his career! You couldn't make this stuff up.

Tbh when he was on the left 1st half he was playing better, attacking defenders looking to come inside and shoot/ find the killer pass, when he came on to the right he looked dejected die t wanna run at people, was looking for the easy ball every time. Agreed he needs to drop out an build confidence and score some goals with the reserves to come back a better player tho. Such a shame the idiot Rogers is still being aloud to rip up the club from within

Ibe needs a manager who will play him in his natural position. The solution is very simple really, but then Brendan is our manager so what can the poor kid do?

Confidence, out of position, BR, maybe he is just not good enough? Ocerated player for me. Same with Can, he is better than Ibe but not as good as many fans here want to believe and it is not just BR's fault. Sorry to be so moany on the.morning but I don't see how playing youngsters is a positive if we play poorly and fail to beat at home a side who is mid tablr championship quality who didn't even try to close the game. None of our starting 11 yesterday is good enough for a team who has any hope for a top 4 finish or a trophy. The only one of the starting 11 who before the game I thought could be a top 4 material was Clyne and then he played awful yesterday. Overall the game quality was that of reserces game and I don't understand how people pay a lot of many to watch a EL competitive game and don't feel robbed when they get this.I thought entrance to reserves games is free.

@fanobipi personally I think your being a bit harsh on how you can rate two youngsters as overrated when as previously pointed out both Can and Ibe are both continually played out of position. I recently changed playing position from RW to RB (mainly due to age!) and the difference in positioning, awareness, role going forward/back is completely different. It took me a good number of games to get to grips with the change.

Now I know you'll state that these kids are professionals and should be able to adapt but I'd also point out that both Can and Ibe are being played out of position in multiple roles, for example Ibe has been played in: RW (as part of a midfield 5), ARW (as part of a front 3), RWB (as part of a back 5) and most recently LWB. As a young player with the pressure of trying to break through into the first team he doesn't have a chance in hell of being able to demonstrate his capabilities when he's not being given a chance to learn his role. Every time he is picked its a lottery on what's going to be his position depending on BR latest bright idea. Plus it doesn't help when our glorious manager comes out and heaps tons of pressure on Ibe by publicly stating he's the perfect replacement for Sterling who is apparently one of the most promising world class players in the world!

My personal opinion is that as with most things currently wrong with Liverpool, it all traces back to BR. Yet again promising young players are being hung out to dry by a manager who isn't giving them a chance to prove themselves because he's so inept he doesn't know what formation, system or tactics to employ and fans like yourself aren't going to do them any favours by knocking what shred of confidence they have left by declaring them overrated after one game in an alien position.

Someone should buy BR a gift of some football manager game, where players are marked red, when you try to play them out of position.
