Question Eds, if either one or both teams that make it to the final of the Europa league has previously qualified for the Champions League through their domestic league, what happens? Will a semi-finalist be picked, or will another team from the winning finalist's domestic team be picked to replace the winning team? Does my question make sense at all? Let say Liverpool play Napoli in the finals of the Europa league, and Napoli have alreadyqualified for Champions league via Serie A, what will happen should they beat Liverpool? How will that be different say Liverpool makes the top 4 vs. Liverpool doesn't make the top 4?

Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - nothing happens. The Europa League winner is now going to take away one of the places earned through the league.}

Just to clarify have they changed it so if a team from England outside top 4 win it they won't get a extra champions league spot ?I know this was going to happen next season,so if Everton,spurs or liverpool finish outside top 4 they could take arsenal or man utd place or who ever else may finish 4th this season?cheers ed.

{Ed002's Note - Additional.}

Sorry which is it? Taking away a top 4 place in the league Ed001. Or additional, a 5th team Ed002.

I'm confused

{Ed001's Note - sorry I am not 100% sure now, it was initially a 5th team this season, then to turn to taking away a place in future seasons. I can't remember whether or not that was changed, as UEFA did want to change it to just take away the league place immediately. The rules don't make it clear, hundreds of pages I have searched through and I am still not sure!}
