I've seen a couple of reports that Liverpool are interested in the 18 year old left back at Boca Juniors.
I've searched for news on here in regard to Valentin Barco but there doesn't seem to be anything.
I understand he has a release clause in his contract for £8m and would likely be a target for the January transfer window.
Quite a talent, apparently, but is there any truth in this rumour?

Chelsea have not yet made an approach invoving any sort of deal with a mapped out future but may well do as he will be able to qualify as Home Grown and they have scouted him as an Ian Maatsen replacement. Manchester City offer the best solution with the highest offer, a loan back to the end of the season and then progression within The City Group. Boca will offer a new contract. I am not aware of any Liverpool interest being declared but he may have beeen notived as they scaout another Boca player.}

Barco seems more like a winger to me. Tidy little player.
