Apart from the club, who knows what our plans might be, let alone why we might have a particular plan. Not having heard Klopp’s comments and in what context they may have been made, I think it is rash to try and second guess what the club might do. I certainly wouldn’t agree with the idea that the club amending its plans to meet a changing situation means that everything said before is a lie.

Absolutely not Habibi, the Ed’s provide are very informative. But they are not infallible - nobody is. Sometimes things change, sometimes very quickly, like the situations in this window with Szoboszlai, Caicedo and Endo. The real source of truth at any given time is the club. This is a rumours and banter site for fans to speculate and give their opinions, which is cool, it serves its purpose, most of the time, but it’s not the source of truth about the club.

Ed002 I think is very stupid by the club with Phillips looks like we are going to price him out of a move and then end up losing him for nothing same way we did with ox and Naby it’s not just the fee we lose but paying his wages of around £60k a week to hardly ever play.

Why believe what Klopp says in his press conferences? We have known for years that he lies to avoid any one player in his squad, whether he wants to keep them or not, becoming a media/ press target.

My thought is that Klopp was referring to sales of first team regulars particularly to Saudi sides given the stories around Alison and Mo.

If Nat or Joel are sold then that would not surprise me.

@Tommy that was the way I read it. From an outgoing perspective I think Hendo and Fabs going even took the club by surprise and I think the same thing that no more ‘guaranteed’ starters will be leaving.

all this talk of bringing in a new LCB, is it too wild to think we play 3 of our current CBs and have VVD at LCB? I mean if we're desperate and Robbo continues to struggle, why not?

He'll be 27 next season he absolutley doesn't have a future with us. He had a handful of ok games 2.5 years ago. We've wasted his career by not letting him go to the championship to play regularly.
