Ed01 can you please update as soon as you know about Alisson's injury.

{Ed001's Note - he will have a scan tomorrow, so won't know anything for sure until then though they think it is probably a calf strain.}

Calf strain, 2-4 weeks usually. let's hope it's not that bad. Michael Owen at half time was trying to say that it could be his Achilles. if it was his Achilles he wouldn't have walked off the pitch that's for sure.

my initial fear was ACL. I hope it is "just" a calf strain.

Klopp just confirmed its calf. Not sure if it’s a strain or tear though.

I hope he takes the necessary amount of time to heal and not rush back.
Don't want him to do a Kevin Durant.

he can definitely walk off the pitch the way he did with a ruptured achilles.

I feel it's a muscle tear opposed to strain. Klopp described him as feeling like he had been hit, when you tear a calf muscle it feels like a sharp pain you'd get if someone smacked it with a stick. I'm worried he's facing a spell out.

Har_red - definitely mate. unless it's a minor strain that just needs rest and a massage (unlikely) then I would be happy if the prognosis is a month on the sidelines.

Faithinworks yeah a month to 6 weeks would be realistic if it's torn. The fact he's a GK may have quicker recovery time as regular sprints and constant running at high tempo won't be essential. Hopefully get good news from scan today.

Calf injuries can by dodgy enough. You think it's fine until you maybe sprint or put your boot thru the ball. I'm hoping he has felt a strain which might only be a few weeks, but he did seem to be hobbling pretty bad which, to me would indicate something worse 🙄.

Judging by the explanation given ref something hitting the back of his leg, I had exactly the same and it was a ruptured Achilles. Hope not but if it is we won’t see him back this side of xmas at the earliest.

He walked off the pitch but it was reported he left anfield in a wheelchair. Looking likely a tear as opposed to a strain.

Out 4-6 weeks, Lonergan to get a contract.

They are the worst ones, where it looks like he's done f all but goes off injured. Gutted because I'm going Turkey I was confident of smashing Chelsea, have to have a look at them tomorrow against those lot.

I'm just relieved we have Adrian as backup rather than Mignolet.

Red Raw- You’re only saying that as you haven’t seen Adrian mess up as much as Mignolet. He’s as bad, probably worse than Migs.

Cobra666, I'm just glad Adrian can kick the ball properly. Mignolets kicks were abysmal and looked like they were going in slow motion they were that bad.

Mignolet has never in his life been able to play from the back like the 60 minutes Adrian was in goal the other day. already a big improvement for the way we want to play.

Isn't it ironic that our keeper gets injured and not a player like Robbo.
