Hi eds1
Is Danny Ings still joining Southampton after he’s loan is now finished?

{Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware it was all done before the end of the season.}

Was the fee already agreed before the loan eds1.

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

I know people will disagree but i still think Origi should be joining him. don't think he's up to competing with the front 3 over a long season.

Little Naby I agree. Not knocking the lad for how he finished the season but he’s not good enough.

Cue the fume when we don't bring in a £70 million front man to sit on the bench and instead give Origi a new contract.

Little Naby not sure what more you want from the guy he was excellent in the close season and earned his place in this squad. You won't get top drawer players happy to sit on the bench and frankly it causes more problems than good, look how many want to leave city!

He wasnt excellent Never, what player were you watching? Peoples minds are being muddled by the fact he scored a couple of goals on our way to number 6,oh and let's not forget the derby goal my granny would have put away. There was a time i really wanted it to work out for Origi but he's not good enough. How many teams were beating down our door to sign him last summer and January? And this isn't about wanting a shiny new £70-80m player to replace him, i would honestly rather see an academy player like Woodburn or Camacho play ahead of him because at least one they they MIGHT be good enough.

It isn't a long season to Origi - along season playing every game then yes! When asked to do a job, he's done as best as poss.

If he gets a new contract and sticks around i'll support him as a Liverpool player. I just don't think he should get that contract and we should sell him now while his stock is at its highest. We should be at a stage now where we have better than Origi on the bench. he'd struggle to get in a matchday squad for most of the top half of the table teams.

He's the only natural finisher out of our front three, that said, I wouldn't start him over Mane, Booby or Mo but he can offer something different if we rotate him.

I like having Divock as an option.
I liked his performances on the left the few times he played there.
IF he stays it will be because the club see his utility and he thinks he can do it.
That's all you can ask for.

Little Naby and Pegleg, could you please tell me how many teams were beating down Andy Robertson's door when we signed him? And how on earth are you able to determine that Origi's stock is at the highest right now, at 24 years of age and coming back into form and reckoning?
You guys epitomize the exact thing that's wrong with modern fans, but I'm particularly disgusted because this kid has done everything he's been asked and has just played a major, major part in maintaining our title pursuit last season and winning us our first trophy in almost a decade.
To justify your nonsense you suggest that it might just be better to play Camacho or Woodburn. ahead of Origi, because, as you implied, they might just be better! It is truly pathetic that you feel the only way to measure our progress or readiness to win major trophies is by having better players on the bench than Origi. There was a time Machedo won Manchester United the league; John O'Shea; Felipe Anderson; list goes on.
I don't think we deserve anything with "fans" like you! I see now why Ed002 loves Liverpool fans! Keep it up!

Noski wind your neck in lad. No need to bite their heads off. If you disagree that's fine but chill out man. People are allowed to have different opinions to you.

I don’t think Origi is up to the task really, but I don’t think Bobby is either. Before everybody shoots me down, if you took him out of our side last season and replaced him with peak Torres, Saurez or Fowler, we win the league, I have no doubts about that. I love Bobby, he’s a fantastic player but if everyone thinks back to before we signed him, he was an attacking midfield player, not a forward. I would love to see him move back into midfield. Everyone seems to think we need a “Fekir” type player to open defences and score goals from midfield, I think Bobby can do that no problem. Sign a world class out and out striker would be my preference.

Noski i don't epitomise anything, im supporting LFC 30 years and usually hate criticising one of our players but the lad is not good enough. IN MY OPINION. if you think he is then fine but i know most L'pool suppoters i know agree with me. if we hadnt completed a miracle comeback against Barcelona there would be very little people on this site in favour of keeping Divock.

We beat West Ham away 3-2 Divock scored
We beat Everton at home 1-0 Divock scored
We beat Barcelona at home 4-0 Divock scored
We beat Spurs in CL final 2-0 Divock scored
He played 673mins and scored 7 goals and has a goal average of 1 every 96mins in 2018/ 19
He will sit on the bench and wait his chance and doesn't sulk.
When we needed him this season he was there.
Jose Mourinho speaking on RT said after the CL final that players like Divock are like gold dust. Jurgen it seems wants to offer him a new contract and people on here want rid of him?
He cost Liverpool £8mil, would people prefer we sold him and spent £50mil for someone else to sit on the bench and disrupt the squad because he's not getting a game?

{Ed025's Note - sounds like a brilliant player polecat, so if he had of played more maybe you would have won the league?, does that mean that klopp picked the wrong team at times?...maybe jurgen is not as good as i thought mate..

My neck has truly be wound in, Campbell. I'm waiting for your Campbocopter to deliver the flashiest signing yet! Clear all the deadwoods and splish and splash!

Divock is worth his place anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded and frankly wrong.

If Klopp sees him as good enough for the best team in europe then none of us are qualified to disagree.

jurgens good enough to try and get rid last summer Ed025 but he wouldn't go to Wolves. For me if everyones fit he's not even 1st option off the bench i'd have Shaquiri on ahead of him, Ox too if he's on the bench.

{Ed025's Note - hes a different option i suppose naby, but if he does stay i cant see him starting many games mate..

19.) 13 Jun 2019
13 Jun 2019 19:14:28
ED025,

If Everton had a few players as good as him maybe they wouldn't have finished 43 points behind LFC?

{Ed025's Note - your right polecat....it would have been 53, its yet another case of liverpool supporters over hyping one of their players, hes bench fodder and no more mate as next season will prove ( that is of course if they cant get shut of him)..

I love what origi has done for us and his attitude has been great. His goals have all been instinctive which bobby lacks around the box. He's never one to grab a game and produce something out of nothing, all his goals have come from 6 yard tap ins apart from final.

I'd have no complaints if he stays. But I actually feel origi himself might want to leave. His latest quotes suggest he's deciding his next move. He's 24, another season of 700 minutes can't be what he wants.
