We are fighting it with Wolves to sign Memphis Depay.

Not even sure I want him. He didn't do much for the mancs did he.

Salah didn't do much for Chelsea either.

And salah didn't do much for Chelsea.

I don't believe this rumour tbh doesn't seem like a Klopp player but anyone who signs will have my full support.

I’d like to think we would be more of a draw that wolves.

Not sure on him. Rubbish at man u. Looked good for lyon but it's a poor league.

He joined Man Utd far too soon and was not ready for the step up to the premier league. Depay is skillful and quick and I reckon Klopp could seriously improve him.
Liverpool really need a new attacker, so he could be an option.

We are fighting Wolves for Depay? Nah not for me. Not unless one of front 3 is leaving. He ain’t a back up player.

I said on another post how good it would feel if we signed Depay and he become really good for us. Big slap in the face to the Mancs.

I'm also in the camp where I don't think it's going to happen though.

Very good player, perhaps not as top as Mane and Salah but not far off. Quick, and has become his national team’s go-to attacking choice.
Can play wide or through the middle.
I’d be happy with Depay as the Sturridge replacement.

Any replacement for Danny sturridge would be beneficial.

{Ed002's Note - Move Brewster on then?}

Obviously, we hope Brewster can become a monster so it would be foolish to sign any other young talent in that position. I guess it depends on whether we decide to Keep Origi or not. I hope he stays, he has been reliable when called upon and most of the stars out there wouldn't be comfortable playing every third or fourth game. Id Rather see us aiming for one top class player, whatever the position and moving on a few. Maybe we pull another Allison and sign the best possible player available. In this case Werner or De Lift? Lol.

I'd take him. We need a player who can fight our front 3 for a spot so we can challenge on all fronts. The Shaq is good but we need another player for so many games. I imagine Studge might be leaving and Brewster will be eased in.

I think the rumour comes from his Instagram stories. He posted a couple of videos wearing a red suit, boarding a red jet and the video said "Merci Lyon" - Doubt he's going back to United. Not sure what other red teams have been linked with him apart from us. Maybe the Eds know?

Will Depay want to be at a club and not be first choice? I also don’t see him going Wolves.

13.) 26 May 2019
26 May 2019 09:38:51
Ed. no absolutely not move brewster on. But sturridge for anyone in any other position 100%.

{Ed002's Note - So what are Liverpool going to do with all of these players? Or is Depay a Firmino replacement?}

14.) 26 May 2019
26 May 2019 11:28:46
I don’t get when people say Depay isn’t a Klopp type player. Neither was Shaqiri apparently, yet we still signed him and he still did we at times this year.

If anyone talks about selling origi again i will eat my scarf, my shirt and my tracksuit.

That said depay would be a decent option. What side does he play? Left footed on the right? If so its possible but if he is left footed and plays on the right it seems doubtfull as we have mane and origi who have been brilliant for us in that position. Could an attacking mid be made out of him?

16.) 26 May 2019
26 May 2019 13:14:30
Sorry, i really mean if he plays on the left, we don't need him. If he plays on the right its more of a possibility.

17.) 27 May 2019
26 May 2019 23:38:00
He's versatile, can play from the left, up top or in behind. I like him as a player and his attributes are technically strong. It's his mentality I'm unsure of, I don't know if he's matured in his time at Lyon or not but if he has he'd be a good option to compete for that frontline. Brewster offers us that no.9 type option while origi and a possible depay type player offer more versatile competition

I'd rather fekir personally if we were to revive interest in him.

18.) 27 May 2019
27 May 2019 13:53:48
They're likely following Depay in case Real Madrid surprises them with an offer they can't refuse for Mane. Eds noted weeks ago that Depay would be a direct replacement for someone up front, and not cover for the front 3.

Ed there’s this thing called depth. Brewster hasn’t proved himself yet, why should we stand still and hope he finally gets to the desired level we need. Not saying we should bin him, but not signing another attacker and putting all our hopes in a kid would be a poor decision, and judging by the names we are being linked I doubt Klopp and Edwards will make that mistake. Depay, Origi and Shaqiri as backup would be ideal.

{Ed002's Note - Nobody is suggesting that Liverpool will not look to signing an attacking player - but Liverpool has no interest in signing Depay.
