Hi Eds

This my first post, so apologies if the subject has already been discussed. I was reading on the BBC Gossip page that LFC are looking for a premiership loan deal for Harry Wilson next season. Is there any truth in this? I'm just surprised after the season he is having with Derby, I think he could make a difference for us next season, rather than go out on loan.

{Ed002's Note - Welcome. I have no doubt that there will be plenty of interest in taking Wilson on loan and permanently. He is now of an age where he will be looking for a regular start and I doubt Liverpool can realistically offer him that. For Liverpool a loan to a Premier League side would be a good solution, but I don't know how the player feels about that.}

Funnily enough I was contemplating this yesterday evening.
Who do we bring on if Salah or Mane need a breather? At thee moment I think it would be Shaq but he’s a very inconsistent performer in my opinion and is not going to improve.
I think there is a place for Wilson as first choice sub for Mane/ Salah and also in rotation/ competition for places.
He would give us more than Shaq in my opinion.

The same goes for Bobby needing a replacement and Brewster being given a chance. For me they are very different styles, Bobby is a workhorse and Brewster is a poacher, but the team must adapt and be able to incorporate different styles for different challenges.

I think it all depends on whether he truly believes that Klopp still has him in his plans, although we all know how many times he has said things and not followed through.

He is probaby ready for the step up I just think it is too. If a jump at the moment to to us, BUT pre season is a chance to change that view!

Agreed Ron. It's one of them for me, I wouldn't moan if he went out on loan to another PL side but at the same time I can't imagine he'd be very happy about that and he's a player who imo we should be keeping hold of. Give the lad his chance and see what he's capable of at the top level.

Morning all.
I agree with the idea of youngsters coming into the match day squad though there’s little point in them doing ‘a Solanke’ and bench warming every game?
They need to get plenty of game time and play a meaningful role.

I'm not convinced on Wilson. He looks good in parts for Derby but there are times he just doesn't show up. In my opinion, he's not good enough for Liverpool at present. Whether a bit of Klopps positivity and inspiration might push him along a bit remains to be seen. I've been to 10/ 12 Derby games this season in which he's featured. He's played better than ok in maybe 3 or 4 of them. Other than that sweet left peg, I just don't see why all the hype at the moment.

Basically he's a world class free kick taker and an average winger. Not enough for me to play for Liverpool.

Surely that’s where having a world class attacking coach at the club may bring more out of Wilson also he’d be playing with a lot better players hence he wouldn’t be man marked the way he has been for the last month or so.

I don’t know how it works but I guess Barcelona still owe us money from the Coutinho sale, so would the fee be as much as being quoted?

Having lived in Brighton, if they stay up I reckon he’d be very welcome there for a season loan!
