First time poster and just passing on what I've been told so don't shoot the messenger! Hearing that Werner is the main striking target this summer to add some depth with the intention of being able to rotate with Salah, Mane and Firmino. Fekir will also be in the mix if the price is right and as he has 12 months left a deal is likely. Brandt another target and is more open to the rotation system along with Mane, Salah, Firmino and Werner (if he joins) than he was before. Rabiot has agreed to join but they don't want to disrupt the team by announcing now as a number of players will be moved on including Lallana and Milner (Milner is keen to Join Leeds to finish his career) . Moreno, Sturridge, Matip, Origi and Mignolet all being moved on. Lastly, De Ligt has been mooted and is seriously considering. Playing alongside VVD is attractive and he is also friendly with Gini. Liverpool considering matching the VVD fee as he would be long term along with TAA and Gomez. Let's see how many come off but a lot of players want to be apart of what is happening and Klopp can build a serious young squad who can compete on multiple fronts. Werner, Fekir, Brandt, Rabiot and De Ligt would be all incredible signings. With Rabiot on a free and Fekir and Werner both in the last year of their contract, makes them even more attractive. All young targets and add the quality to allow the Forwards rotation (Firmino, Mane, Salah, Brandt, Shaq and Werner), midfield rotation (Keita, Fabinho, Rabiot, Henderson, Gini and Ox) and defensive rotation (Robertson, VVD, Gomez, TAA, De Ligt and Lovren) . Klopp currently doesn't believe the current back -ups are good enough hence why the defence and attack has pretty much remained the same but has plans to address this this summer. Stay tuned.

Sounds too good to be true. Also leaves us with no back up GK, RB or LB.

All of that sounds reasonable. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part, but I really hope the Brandt rumour is true, I'd love to see him at Liverpool. I'd be delighted with De Ligt. If we just ended up with those two, I'd be thrilled, well those two and a replacement for Mignolet who is sure to leave in the summer.

So we’re expecting to splash out big dollars on players like Fekir, de ligt, Werner/ Brandt but not be selling one of Salah, mane or firmino, I highly doubt it, even with an increase in revenue. Would be nice and would improve the squad nicely but I expect someone big to leave in the summer, especially if we do not win the league.

Thanks for the info.

If all of that came off it would be the best window ever. Individually you could see all those targets as realistic signings but collectively what would it cost to bring them all in?

Would be some squad with a few youth players such as lewis brewster camacho and jones added to the mix too.

Kman we’ve a lot of players to move on mate I’m not saying we’ll get all these players in but we’ve got
Clyne 12 mill
Matip 10 mill
Mignolet 10 mill
Grujic 15 mill
Wilson 15 mill
Origi 15 mill
Kent 8 mill
Ings 20 mill guaranteed
Lallana 10 mill
Ojo 5 mill
Moreno wages freed up
Danny s wages freed up

120 mil plus wages freed up I know there not exact figures
And you have to take in agents fees an all the rest but we can recoup a decent figure this summer to sign 3-4 quality players who they are and what they cost who knows .

I would imagine Fekir and Werner would be cheaper due to contracts running down whilst Rabiot is a free. Apparently Fekir was £52m agreed fee last year so would imagine this being £35m (ish) with 12 months remaining. Werner would be the same. Agree with the above poster, a lot of recouped money with players leaving and saving on wages. De Ligt would cost a few bob but at 18 is a long term player. I don’t see any of the above is unrealistic and would add the quality and depth in all parts of the team, especially when looking at the outgoings mentioned.

Hope it’s true but it seems like football manager signings to me, particularly De Ligt. Can’t see us splashing what will probably need to be a world record fee for a defender when we have 2 quality centre backs already.

That would be the dreamiest window since the last dream window.

ps - a player being in the last year of his contract doesn't mean that the buying club gets them any cheaper, it just means that the selling club gets less, and the player gets a higher signing on fee. Player power!

I hope that these rumours are true as the named players look brilliant at their respective teams. If we’re to compete each season we do need better squad depth. I don’t generally like the Liverpool City comparisons, but clearly young star players like Sane, Jesus (arguably) Sterling get rotates on and off the bench and appear to be playing well for the clubs. Pep does seem to manage the young egos so perhaps brining in young talent that want to compete with our first team isn’t as unlikely as we seem to think.
It’d be a great window, even if in this moment it’s a cheeky rumour.

Someone has been using the 'sugar daddy' cheat in Fifa ;)

Seriously though, fun rumour. Would love to see it all pan out, guess time will tell!

Adamredbelfast, it really doesn't work like that.

RF - I have heard very similar. But my understanding is that this would be conducted over 2 summer windows. With Werner, Rabiot and Fekir being targeted this summer along with Laxalt. Then Brandt and De Ligt the summer after.
Either way it is exciting times!

We'd certainly be Ligt of a few bob after all that 😉.

Adam those valuations are hilarious but wtf we've paid more on worse an RF that lot sounds aces I hope you're ITK an not just dreaming like the rest of us anyway peace an love brothers and sisters let's go an win the league. YNWA.

Would those signings and the players being sold not seriously impact are home grown quotation?

19.) 08 Feb 2019
08 Feb 2019 09:49:46
Why would those valuations be "way off"?
Solanke went for £20mil
He's scored 1 goal.
Ings will go for £20mil.
Prior to loan he barely kicked a ball for 18 months.
Wilson is currently tearing it up in the c/ ship.
Why wouldn't a team risk £15mil on him?
The same amount Ibe went for few seasons ago.
I think people forget that transfer prices have risen and Michael Edwards is a transfer genius.

20.) 08 Feb 2019
08 Feb 2019 10:28:11
I can't see why wee would sell Wilson for that amount, loads of teams would take him on loan in the prem next year and his value would double if we got £20m for Solanke.
I think most of them values are on the low side we got £12m for a keeper that had hardley played any games yet we would only get £12m for Clyne i know a lot of people don't like him on here but a 28 year old England internationl with 175 prem games to his name to date. city paid £50m for Walker who is nothing special just very fast.
I am not saying we will sign all them players but we should get a least the money for the players that are going if not more.

21.) 08 Feb 2019
08 Feb 2019 14:13:46
Unless Derby come up, so he'd get some PL experience with them (if a loan happened again obviously) then we should keep Wilson! Some of those values are wishful thinking though, like Clyne and maybe even Grujic.

22.) 08 Feb 2019
08 Feb 2019 15:22:19
I truly believe we are looking at these however not all will come. Prob 2 at most with LB GK. World record profits will help.

23.) 08 Feb 2019
08 Feb 2019 19:18:18
It’s too many big signings in one window. Like we got Fabinho and Keita in the summer, then comparatively smaller fees paid for Shaqiri. If we got Werner, I don’t think we’d go for another attacking player. The front three rotating with Shaqiri and Werner is enough, with Brewster as a youth option. Okay Rabiot maybe, free is a good deal if his wages aren’t silly. De ligt id love, Gomez can play can and rb if needed. But as other posters said, a left back and goalkeeper are more pressing.
