Talks ongoing for Clyne to join Palace on loan with a view to a permanent in the summer. Wan Bissaka has been mentioned to be part of any deal.

I can’t see them going for a straight swap. Would you swap TAA (a young promising right back) for Stephan lichsteiner at Arsenal (an older back squad filler)? I don’t think so.

I don't believe this in the slightest. But to say Clyne isn't worth 10m in this day and age is also silly. He's 27 and an England International. Granted he hasn't played for England for a bit now but what does 10m get yiu in this day and age? Not a lot, I'm not the biggest of fans of Clyne because I feel he has very little end product. But he has to be worth North of 10m in my opinion.

I don't get the hang up so many have on back up players. I understand its a squad game and we need cover. But how many teams lose a player for the whole season? 1 or 2 at most I would have thought a team may lose a season. You can't have a squad of players on 100k a week and paying 50m+ in transfers. Our squad is extremely strong as it stands. EVERY squad can be improved upon but its a juggling act between having a strong 11 and a strong squad. I think we have enough quality in our squad to see us through and if needed to call upon a youth player or 2 to fill up the bench. We need to provide these youth players with a route even a chance to play in the first team squad. If not then our youth set up will suffer due to no youth player want to come to us. For me Mignolet Clyne Lovren Matip Moreno Henderson Milner Wijnaldum Shaqiri Origi Sturridge is an extremely strong second string and would be safe in the prem on there own in my opinion. Allison Trent Gomez VVD Robertson Fabinho Keita Ox (when fit) Mané Firmino Salah would be my thoughts of our strongest 11.

how is clyne not worth £10m spurs got £50m for walker. you all pay extra for English players and he gets far to much stick from this site. I for one would not sell him for £10m would find it hard to get a right back as good as him for £10m there is not to many Robertson out there. so many people call him but use to think Karius was a good keeper lol.

To be honest, it makes sense for me apart from the fact that he'd also be backup there. He's not better than Wan Bissaka, but he played there in the past and will no doubt still have friends and connections there.

If Moreno leaves we can try youngsters or get someone like Tierney or Chilwell.
If Lallana leaves we can try Coutinho on Loan or recall Wilson.

West Ham are looking for fullback cover, not sure if they would bid for him. I think his market value is quite attractive and he is a proven international player as well. Could become a bargain buy for someone.
