Besiktas seem to have posted a pic of Karius in their shirt and then took it off. Seems it's done. But the reports says 1.25 million for this season and a further 1.25 for next with an additional fee of 1.7 million at end of loan.

I'd read previously the fee would be much higher in region of 9 million in total with a percentage of any future sale.

4.2m seems pretty low in today’s market.

Who cares? The lad deserves a chance to get his career back on track and he wasn’t going to get it here!

It’s not our money that he’s bought with and sold for!

I think we are lucky any team actually wanted him after the last couple of months for him. That said good luck to the lad hope he does well.

I’m not fussed about the money. I’d rather he gets the chance to rebuild his career.

Basically what we paid for him.

Let’s hope the lad gets the space and the peace to rebuild his career and confidence 👍.

Shame this thread got sidetracked by football finances, which clearly most people have no clue about.

I remember the original post from Ed002 a while back mentioning Ake, Ojo and one other player as the most highly rated youngsters in football.

Very interesting post it was.

ED002, if you are about, can you give us an update - who are the highly rated youngsters now?

{Ed002's Note - That is not happening anymore, sorry.}
