Fair play to Michael Edwards for apparently convincing Crystal Palace to part ways with £25m for Danny Ings. That's some recoup of fees etc right there, and it'll go nicely towards the Fekir deal (I hope) . Add that to Mignolet off to Beskitas for £12m and potentially Origi and Ojo.

I think Ings will do well there if he stays fit, gutted it didn't work out for him at Liverpool, I had high hopes for him but the lad was just unlucky! always kept his head though and was professional throughout, he'll always have my respect. If the deal goes through good luck Ings!

Unfortunately I can only give one thumbs up for that comment.
Honestly thought that Ings had klopp player written all over him. Hope he does well, wherever he goes. YNWA Danny.

Absolutely gutted for Ings, really wanted him to come good for us but he's never going to get truly match fit unless he plays full games and Bobby F has that position nailed on at the minute - hope he does well for Palace if that's where he ends up and that's an eye watering sum of money (if true) considering the bad injuries and lack of playing time he's had!

I'd echo the sentiments on Ings.

The situation does show the importance of a good rehab set-up too. It pays for itself and more, in the end.
The player gets 5% (I think) of the transfer fee and the club may get a decent price on the lad, especially considering his injury record.

It looks like a good outcome all round, really.

From day one I thought he was an ideal Klopp player.
Decent finisher and closes down from the front relentlessly.
In all honesty I don't think he is up to the standard we now need, which is testament to how far Klopp has brought the team in just a couple of years.
Still think he would be ideal off the bench but can see him doing well and gettkng back in the England set up somewhere else.
Bobby has CF nailed for us, and I think Klopp would then go to Salah before Ings if Bobby was injured.
Decent money to recoup after some big signings.

On a slightly different note, how good is it that Klopp gets his business done early. No messing around towards the end of August like under Brodge.

Andy, agree totally.

I would say though that Edwards and the team should take the majority of the credit in my view for the expediency of the business. They have been fantastic at bringing the preferred players in and moving on players no longer needed (for decent sums rather than pittance as before! )

A good deal for both parties Ings needs to be playing regularly and that won’t happen at Liverpool but it’s a shame it never quite worked out for him. Has there been any confirmation on a bid at all.

I agree with most LFC fans that Ings is a grafter and has had nothing but bad luck, however as a ST holder who goes home and away to every game, he and others like, Shei Ojo and Ben Woodburn just aren't regularly taking their chances in front of goal that will force their way into the first team. It does just go to prove how technically gifted our front three are in comparison. We are so lucky to have Bobby, Mo and Sadio.

Best of luck Danny. Hope you get a break elsewhere.

What's having a season ticket got to do with it.
