Is Wilson to Stoke an actual possibility? Or is it just the papers putting their normal spin on things?

If it is what do people think of the move?

He had a good record in the championship for Hull last year.
Stoke will be looking to bounce back up to the prem and if Wilson is the man who fires them there it could be a real milestone moment in his career.

he needs game time so I think it would be a good move for both parties.

cant see him getting much game time for us. maybe in the cups.

Would rather he stayed and was a squad player with us, sure he would get more out of training with world class players everyday and if he can get some time off the bench in the pl then i'm sure that'd be great for him.


Have my fingers crossed that he stays around with us next season.

I'd hope to see the lad get a good season run. Hopefully build up his reputation to come back and be an option should shaqiri not work out. Not writing Shaqiri off by any means, just see it as a good option for all parties involved.

I would rather he sticks around and gets a shot at the first team. Worst case, he should get a loan move to a PL club. Stoke has a very different playing style to us.

I’m not sure how training with the first team would be better than him playing a 40 odd game season in the championship, he needs competitive minutes. If Klopp has decided he’s not ready to be an option for us in the prem then he needs placing in the right team on loan. I would prefer we used him as an alternative to Shaqiri and place some trust in him but it would seem the decision has been made.

Carra, Silly move. As is buying Shaqiri to ride the pine. Wilson should be the one coming off the bench, not being sent to Stoke.

I agree brisbaneLFC . spend 13mil on a player that for me wouldn't get in any top 6 side or try and give Wilson a go off the bench. no brainer in my eyes, The championship is a different animal to the prem as well.

There is nothing more important than getting minutes on the pitch. Training with world class players or not doesn't come close to actual game play. He will do well.

whether or not you believe that shaqiri is here to ride the pine, whatever really. what is more to the point imo is that shaqiri is far more capable of competing with salah and mane for a starting berth than harry or ryan. their time will come and I hope they stay patient and make the most of their loan opportunities over the next couple seasons.

Personally I hope Wilson goes on loan to rangers. Hopefully he would then also get some European experience with them (if there still in) as well as playing against some physically strong players in the league.
