Eds 01,
Max Meyer has apparently fallen out with the Schalke staff and won't play for them again?
Is he a serious interest and do you believe Klopp will make a move for him, or is he Arsenal bound, which is what my work colleague (Arsenal) believes?

{Ed001's Note - I do not expect him to join us, but he has not chosen where he will be playing next season yet. He just wants out of Schalke.}

I've never seen the guy play but if he was that great then surely one of the big boys would have snapped him up by now? My understanding is that he's out of contract at the end of the season which means he could have been talking to teams in other countries for a while now.

I reckon he's going to sign for a team a lot lower level than everyone expects him to. West Ham or Palace to hazard a guess.

Not as good as some one here would have you believe.

Not a patch on Ceballos for instance who even he isn’t a certain upgrade on Emre but if he joins and settles well could be a good buy.

I remember that his agent offered him to Barcelona and the declined. He thinks, or his agent thinks that Meyer is a worldclass player when he certainly is not. He has a lot of potential and can be formed in a lot of ways but his management is a bit dodgy.

If i remember correctly then he has the same management as Draxler and before he came to PSG he had the same problems (also fell out with Schalke) as Meyer has now.

Meyer broke into the first team at a really young age and looked a great talent however his career doesn’t seem to have gone on the upward trajectory most thought. He is however still young and a decent player and if he’s not holding out for massive wages and using his leverage as a free transfer I would be keen to go for him as we are in desperate need for midfield reinforcements. I certainly wouldn’t expect him to go straight into our starting line up but he would be a good squad addition.

I think he has some a few negatives against his game that will hurt him in England in particular, but he's very quick with the ball in a way that's similar to Coutinho. I don't personally feel he's an improvement on the Ox. I do think Meyer is a good player and very clever in certain areas of the pitch and would make for a logical addition if Lallana left for any reason, but I still see him having a hard time adjusting especially if he's not played in his more natural attacking position.

Oxlade-Chamberlain anyone? Broke through young age, career stagnated. If klopp says yes then I’m
In!
