It wouldn't surprise me in the least, I think he'd much prefer to be assistant to Klopp then going and managing Rangers or one would've thought so anyway? A lot going on at the moment.

It would utterly baffle me if SG were to be made assistant given that Buvac has not left as an employee at the club.

He hasn't done anything to warrant such a job, not even close.

From, by his own admission, gradually learning his trade with the Liverpool youngsters, to second-in-command at LFC / Rangers manager?
Neither, for me.
He should just carry on where he is, perhaps with the occasional input to the first team, and learn from Klopp and the staff at the club.

I can't believe that Rangers would ask him, they're too big for that.
Or that Gerrard would accept, it's a mammoth job, with trouble written all over it.

Why do people keep over exaggerating the position rangers are in as a club? They are nowhere near title challengers, just look at how many points they are behind yet again. It’s going to take a number of years for them to close that gap, through good player recruitment and development of a squad which can compete with Celtic’s far superior squad. Surely rangers fans are not all so caught up in their past glory’s not to miss these facts? Yes Gerrard has no 1st team experience, but why not go manage in a league where there is almost no competition, where he can only really make things better for the club? Rodgers has revived his reputation up there (now linked with the Arsenal job) .

There’s no chance he’s getting the assistant job and rightly so. Why do people think cos he played for us for years he should become assistant boss? . completely baffling what experience does he have for the role absolutely none at all.

Let’s stop the silly ideas he’s going to be liverpool manager one day, never going to happen.
