Hey Eds and reds

Reading through the posts and I am made up to see that midfield is priority this summer . I would like us to keep hold of Emre Can though as I think he is getting better and better and he adds strength to the midfield although at times he is culpable of slowing play down .

If we got draxler Meyer and a right back with keita coming in also I think that's a huge summer
Oh and keep little mo obviously

Any of this seem plausible?

Doesn't seem implausible, I have no idea what cans agenda is though at first I thought it was about challenging for league and champs league etc at maybe juve but it's starting to look like it's really about who will pay him the most, should have seen it coming really.

Meyer's strengths are reportedly stronger in the central and forward midfield roles than further back, so unless klopp wants to adapt his game somewhat, we still won't have an established and good quality deeper lying midfielder as contingency for when hendo is injured- which sadly seems to be very often in recent times.
Could ceballos be the deeper lying midfielder we need to maybe compete with hendo for a starting place?
The Eds have said the club are interested in him, but we can only make so many changes before the squad loses some of its established cohesion.

I though Meyer had been converted to a DLP this year and was doing well?

If any of the EDDS r around,
Strong rumours circulating that were in for TIMO WERNER, any news EDDS.

{Ed001's Note - nothing that I am aware of regarding us.}

Well if Can's playing the money game, then we can say well played. Nothing wrong with wanting more money. If anyone's good, he should be paid what's worth.

Don't really think Can has got better and better to be honest, think he has been hugely inconsistent throughout his time at the club (though the positions changes obviously did not help him) and, despite an extended run in midfield, he has not done that well. Still has an woefully inconsistent pass, positionally he struggles and he, like most of the midfield, doesn't contribute enough goals. Apparently he believes he deserves 200k - why he thinks this I do not know. What I do know is that he is not irreplaceable and that it is not the end of the world if he leaves.

{Ed001's Note - take no notice of the media reports, he is not interested in staying at Liverpool, it really is that simple. He wants a move. Any talk of how much he wants is just to be ignored, he has pretty much made up his mind to leave.}

Anonymush, Meyer has been playing deeper this season and has apparently excelled in that position. So he could be that contingency in case Henderson was out or allow Henderson to move slightly further forward alongside Keita!

This has probably been done but Can wants to move for what reason? Lack of playing time, played out of position, wants a bigger club? Or just wants a change?

Maybe Klopp just doesn’t rate Can that highly. and Can knows it so he’s off.
Once Keita comes in, he’d struggle to make the starting line-up anyway.
Best he moves on in my opinion.

Fair play Ed the lad is just after leaving, I'm sure he will have a good number of clubs chasing his signature. In some ways it is a shame he has just decided he doesn't want to stay but interesting, on the other, to see who we will replace him with - recruitment has been decent in recent seasons, hopefully it will continue that trend.
